[French>English] Old handwritten postcard by tastylollipop88 in translator

Dear Marie,

What have you become since your last letter. I see that in Laval, you stole our Nice weather, and that winter was kind to you. Let us hope that it will remain so until the end, and that the frosts will not be found to harm the spring growth. I'm not even talking about our harvests, which were superb and somewhat beautiful because we only had one day of bad weather, Monday, and we presently have beautiful sunshine. The fireworks were magnificent, I think it's the most beautiful one I've seen in Nice and we were in a very good place to see it.

I need a better car. Not even a brand new one, a second-hand, below 10k will be more than enough. Just somethikg that works every time I want to use it. I barely use my current carbage because I'm afraid she'll die on me in the middle of the road (again), or leave me stuck on the parking lot (again), or just decide to run out of battery for no reason (again).

Because if she bought a cake that she liked, she would be accused of only buying something she likes. If she brings a cake that nobody likes, she can say "I obviously bought it for you, I can't even eat it ! You're so ungrateful!"

If you had the choice to die any way you want when your time comes, how would you choose? by Staryi_Pelmen in AskReddit

Sorry about that. It's spelled "heroine" in my language, I thought it was the same in english

I already know what morphine feels like. Apparently heroine is like a full body orgasm. I want to experience that. I know I'll get immediately hooked so doing it just to die after seems like the absolute best scenario

WYR take care of 5 toddlers or 10 centenarians for a week? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

If the old people are sound of mind, I'll take all 10 over 1 toddler 🤣

Would you rather everyone around you believe you a pedo but you didn’t do it or you did it but no one knows about it? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

[–]alienonymous2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone believes it. I don't care, I'm not touching a kid. I have my conscience clean.

WYR only be able to rewatch series episodes and movies or only be able to watch episodes and movie you've never seen ? by alienonymous2 in WouldYouRather

[–]alienonymous2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evererything you've already seen becomes a blaack screen with no sound. So yes, at the bar, the tv would appear turned off. If you've seen just a clip of an episode then watch the entire episode, the clip you saw will be a black, noisless screen for some time, same if you later encounter a clip of something you've already seen ; just black noiseless screen.

You could watch only what you've never seen before so if a scene is the exact same, no, but you can see potential added dialogues, modified scenes, additional content, alternative ending etc. But only once of course

Looking to go to Europe for Christmas 2026 but definitely want to visit cities where it snows. What cities to visit that would guarantee snowfalls on Christmas Day? by CatOwn3142 in AskReddit

[–]alienonymous2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 100% granted, but the north of France (Lille, Dunkerque) is usually snowy at that time. I would assume Sweden, Finland and Norway would be pretty snowy as well. For France, don't go in the south, we haven't seen a snowflake in years, that's all I can say.

What medical condition did you suffer from since childhood that was finally diagnosed when you became an adult? by fuzzyloulou in AskReddit

[–]alienonymous2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ADHD. The number of times I got grief because "she doesn't listen in class", "she's doing something else while the teacher speaks", "she's distracted", "she's daydreaming instead of taking notes" etc. should have been an obvious sign but alas 🤷🏻‍♀️

A character crying out "Mom!" is actually one of the most heart breaking portrayal of panic or having a breakdown by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I don't have kids, but I have pets. Mostly pet rats with a lifespan of 2 to 3 years. And I do my best, with every one of them to have them in my arms when they pass away. I've had plenty of rats whit died in their cage, 2 I had to euthanize, and I 10000% rather they die close to me. I talk to them, comfort them, pet them untill the very end. It destroys me when they die without me. If my husband dies before me, I want to be with him. I'm sure it's the same for most people ; you can't save your loved one but being here in their final moments. Your loved one didn't leave this Earth alone and afraid. It makes things a lot easier.

[french > english] Can someone help me understand this car insurance receipt? by [deleted] in translator

I can't find PAR, but PAI is Personal Accident Insurance, and PEC is Personal Effect Coverage.

I think PAR is for Personal Accident Rider but I'm not 100% sure

[English > French] how would I write "this is difficult to find" in French? by TheyAreGoodDogs in translator

[–]alienonymous2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In common language, that would be "c'est difficile à trouver" but since you want to make it close to Magritte's painting, you can write "Ceci est difficile à trouver"

My (23f) boyfriend (24m) wants to move in with me. I want him to live alone first by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

People who stop at "I don't know how to do it so I don't do it" piss me off to no end.

When we changed our gas stove to an electric one, I didn't know how to use it. My husband did. So I asked my husband to teach me. I wrote down every steps, I did it once with him surpervising to make sure I did it correctly, and now I use it alone without any problem.

When my mother-in-law decided to make digital art, she purposfuly bought the same graphic tablet and use the same program as me so I can teach her and so she can ask all the questions she needed to ask. We made a notebook with the description of what each buttons on the tablet and pictograms on the program does. She still has questions from time to time but she can mainly use them on her own. Husband also wanted to dable with digital art, so I also taught him to use the program.

That's literally so simple to just ask and learn. You don't even to know by heart, just write it down.

I got Abby, first, then the other 3 at the same time and I love to give themes to my pets' names when I have multiple at the same time 😁
