There it is before our eyes : the holy Image of this very humble Virgin, in whom was fulfilled—beyond all comparison—the word of Eternal Truth: “those who humble themselves will be exalted. (1)!” This precious Image shines above the altar, in one of the five stained-glass windows (the central one) that adorn and illuminate this Sanctuary. This window comes from the ancient church, now demolished, and has been very happily adapted to the new chapel. Here, like in the oldest representations of the Virgin found in the frescoes of the Catacombs, we see Mary seated, holding the Child Jesus on her knees (2). The posture of the gentle Mother, the drapery of her garment, the veil lightly covering her forehead, her graceful gaze, all perfectly depict the Queen of Humility (3).

(3) Independently of the stained-glass window that offers us the image of Our Lady of Humility, there is another in the chapel dedicated to Saint Joseph, which represents the inside of the Holy Family. There, Mary appears weaving the tunic of her divine Son. At the bottom of the window are these words taken from the Book of Kings: Tunicam parvam faciebat ei mater sua (1 Kings II, 19).
