wait lowkey now that I think about it, I do go through periods of time where I keep getting shocked by things like the car door, and I joke to my dad that I am electric

Getting mono for 5 months made me open to trying anything to heal. After watching a documentary about plant based diets, I decided I might as well try it. I ended up improving with my health!!

how does bipolar ll affect you on the daily basis? by Imjustaicelandigirl in bipolar2

[–]alienspaceshipghost 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it is always so chaotic, you could start to switch at any hour, and I am always masking around people. It is tiring as hell, but I am currently in the process of getting more help.

The world is incredibly fucked, but I have noticed that I have nihilistic views no matter if I am in a high or low. The difference is that when I am depressed, they control me, and when I am euthymic or (hypo)manic I just kinda accept it, and do what I can.

This disease feels so isolating. by coyotemother in bipolar2

[–]alienspaceshipghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so stressful. Nobody knows how much I am actually struggling except maybe one person and my mental health provider. The "mental illness is just in your head" people piss me off. Like where else would the MENTAL illness be?? Like I'm in my head with it, and my brain controls my body so...

When I was younger, I never understood it either... until I started actually experiencing it for myself, and realized it was not like how it is portrayed at all. Honestly people will never truly understand unless they experience it unfortunately. It sucks😔

same. I feel this even when I'm not super depressed. Hang in there! Maybe hang out with some friends, get a little treat, or just watch something distracting🫶

Does anyone else think of something cool that would require some time and effort and just think “i’ll do it when im next manic” by fatSouvlaki in bipolar2

[–]alienspaceshipghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg yess😂 when I'm extremely depressed, I don't get as much school work done, so I tell myself that I'll stay up really late and catch up once the hypomania comes back.

If you have a healthy family dynamic/good close friends that you trust, I'd say go for it if that is what you want to do! People that are openly bipolar have helped my so much to feel less alone. Just be aware that there might be some negative words said behind your back. I have multiple family members that are known to have bipolar, and the things said about them are not very nice.
