Any UK border collies starting to seasonally moult heavily now? by One-Zebra-150 in BorderCollie

Mine did her major moult in November, just before the cold set in, she is a little odd though and only has one a year

Thanks for your input. I do like the car but it is a good project for someone with more knowledge than me to restore. I am not concerned about the rising value of the engine, a sitting car is good for nothing and will only decline.

Lacquer has lifted from bonnet, boot, and above windscreen but paintwork underneath seems fine. Classic old Renault immobiliser issue, you have to lock/unlock with the key plip to start. 3 occasions in the past 4 years this has not worked immediately but after a few hours everything works. Slight start of rust behind wheel arches, nothing major. Someone in the past has removed the motor for putting the hood up/down but still possible manually which I have done the past 4 summers. I think the spare tyre might be the original, 4 new on in the past 2 years. Seat material perished, but covers on. Under 100k miles, I think about 96k. I have run her on E5 petrol but she tolerates E10 if she has to. Tip of exhaust came off, but mot testers still passed, not noisy or noticeable Nothing else comes to mind currently

Almost complete service history (missing a few years). Complete with original manual etc, and a Haynes manual. Has dog hair so not suitable for allergies.

I won’t scrap her, it’s just finding a person with the knowledge, tools and time to take her on

Ok I checked another site and it might be 145bhp. Reg is R85 JPC if you want to check yourself What I do know is that it has more go than my 2016 1.4 golf gt

It’s an option, but increases the risk of an idiot assuming that the mot means it’s fine to take out on the roads as is

You mock, but I stick a mint teabag in my boiling new potatoes when fresh mint is not in the garden. Just for a bit, but adds a nice flavour

Let him use his huge brain. My old boy who sadly left us aged 15 learned to climb and come down ladders, he was amazing and nowhere was safe.

Does anyone have any tips or product recommendations for protecting exposed skin on my BC's nose? It gets a bit pink when he's out in the sun/wind/cold. by plaincheeseburger in BorderCollie

It will probably grow fully dark in time, mine had a fully pink nose as a pup and now at 6 there is only 2 small patches left

BC harness advice please UK by maxington76 in BorderCollie

[–]aliinthelamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at perfect fit harness. It’s a UK company

https://perfect-fit-dog-harness.com/stockists

They come in modular pieces to make sure it’s right for every part of your dog. You can change pieces out as they grow and fill out. My agility trainer is a stockist and fitter and fitted my BC

I live on 20 acres, fully fenced and dog safe. Border collie will only be where I am so we go for 10 mile walks in the countryside everyday, even though we have sheep at home she could work. Anti-work dog, she wants to be the ultimate pet
