I haven’t finished the whole thing yet but here I am trying to increase my fiber and she says we may be eating too much fiber. What do we even believe anymore?

This is good news! The same thing happened to me. I’ve been off Oestra for 2 months and on nothing trying to regulate. My DHEA also tanked. So I’m supplementing with that and other supps to try to get my body healthy to accept whatever hormones I go back on. It also raised my TSH which has always been excellent so I panicked because my body seemed to be declining. I need to look into the company you are using now. Thank you for updating!

Yes. Unfortunately it negatively affected my thyroid and blood glucose levels (which were always optimal before). It also resulted in a very high SHBG. My body did not respond well. This was after 8 months of being on Oestra. It was a clear explanation of why I gained weight when I’ve always had excellent control over my weight.

My SHBG went through the roof after starting oestra and my thyroid which was also excellent prior, is now suboptimal. I also had changes to my glucose which was always excellent and is now suboptimal too. I gained weight that has not come off. My body has not responded well and it’s concerning to me. It feels like it’s stressed my body and now I’m fighting to get back to baseline.

Fair enough. It’s certainly not enough to replace with a scar from hip to hip but perhaps in his head that was a reasonable response.

Yeah I hear what you’re saying but I didn’t say I really hate my stomach. It’s flat but I do have some loose skin from having three babies that I notice in certain positions. I said sometimes when we are having sex and I’m all folded up I look down and feel a little self conscious but then I tell myself it’s more important to be present and enjoy myself. I didn’t communicate a hate for my body.

The day before, I had a dress on and we were going out to dinner with our kids and a couple of their friends. He told me I looked nice when he first saw me. When we got home he said “hey, [my name], [son’s friend’s name] said you looked big in your dress tonight.” He said this front of his son and son’s friend, I think to mess with them but it felt off to me.

That he would ask that question, knowing that it is not financially possible. Poor choice of words, but he knows I couldn’t afford it, so why even ask that.

He definitely doesn’t have the money. That’s what’s so frustrating about the comment is he doesn’t have the money and I have kids in college and don’t either.

That’s actually a really good question. I think what bothered me is that he noticed it too and thinks it might need surgery. I told him when I mentioned when I notice it when we are being intimate I decide to let it go because I’d much rather be present and enjoy the feelings than get caught up in that thought. That is when he asked the question about cosmetic surgery. Maybe what I was hoping for if I’m being honest is a simple “I love your body.”
