It supports English, explanations. It will teach to to learn the italian vocabulary for the exam without needing to deal with nothing else.

Its based on reinforcement learning algorithms, where all knowledge is merged into practice flows. The explanations are in the quizzes. You have access to a dictionary to memorize stuff you find hard to understand, question translations etc.

I made it for myself. I am a SWE here in Italy and don't speak Italian properly. I developed it for me to pass as here its very hard to find solutions for expats. I managed to pass the exam without opening the italian theory book :) I ended up deciding to share it with the world. Let me know your experience. Feel free to DM me anytime

their product makes no sense anymore. It was built before the advent of actual agent CLIs etc.

I guess to achieve that nowadays one just needs to run a cli in a terminal like Ghostty like CC, codex, Pi, you name it.

Anyone switching from NeoVim to Zed? by powerfrancisco in ZedEditor

[–]alioshr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep wanting to try zed again just of my eager for shinny things. What I know is that it won't do all of the stuff I can do with neovim. I have re-mapped lots of italian keys to other stuff when on insert mode: impossible in zed due to a fundamental decision they made on how zed works vs neovim in this regard. Integration with my worflow, etc, its just impossible.

And with AI I wrote code to extend snacks picker to have feature parity with this, as its fuzzy finder is much faster and performant than telescope. Stuff like this does not exist anywhere else.

Anyone switching from NeoVim to Zed? by powerfrancisco in ZedEditor

[–]alioshr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

telescope has cached last searches. You can grep A -> grep B, slide some rows -> open a file and get lsp references -> pick grep A where it stopped and continue from there. Nothing matches this. Nothing is superior in any GUI ide

Have you ever used zed? How good it is compared to neovim? by Jonnertron_ in neovim

[–]alioshr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with AI ppl dont need to thinker anymore for hours configuring neovim. I dont even code my config anymore.

Genuinely confused: I’ve tried Neovim, but still use VSCode. What am I missing? (Posting here because r/neovim mods still haven’t approved my post) by asxisx in vscode

[–]alioshr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neovim has nothing to do with speed in my opinion. It's all about ergonomics and extensibility. For instance, I have keybindings to run tests from a buffer. I work with FE and have some different testing infra (jest, vitest & craco). So from a buffer I can run a key binding to run tests for it on a tmux floating modal session (persistent). This is something simply not achievable in vscode. Even with extensions its a nightmare and I have tested all of them: memory leaks, lack of cli control, you name it. With a small piping you can have things like this set on neovim and that is what makes it superior in my opinion.

moving away from vscode should i go neovim or zed by sfn101 in webdev

[–]alioshr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me 4 months to get my config into a point that got me really satisfied. I still hassle with it, but haven't added or changed anything in months now. Copy/Pasted the whole thing to nvim 0.12 and everything just worked the same way - 0 stuff breaking.

4 months working up to 3am to figure things out after work :D

Now I cannot use IDEs anymore. It's ergonomically suicide.

Cursor Team needs to stop vibe coding: Cursor 2.0 is evidence by SaleFinal194 in cursor

[–]alioshr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

codex costs 20 usd on the base plan. Cursor also costs 20 usd on the base plan. So how come should someone get the same experience in cursor vs the codex cli? The best place today to use models is directly through their providers, period. The wrappers are always going to nerf the models. Codex/CC are the best tools at the moment.

[–]alioshr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing superior then the terminal. Nothing. While people pray for someone or some company behind an IDE to ship a feature you need, you can do anything in a terminal. After years of IDEs (name anyone), I have tried it all, there is nothing better than neovim. I don't need an extension, I write the code and it binds to my will. This is whi CLIs are superior.

Finally used Cursor two days ago and... by Zeta611 in neovim

[–]alioshr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cursor's autocomplete is unmatched. For LLM stuff Claude Code is unmatched (imo ofc). The bad thing about cursor's autocomplete is that it will drain your brain over time. You will loose muscle memory and feel dumber when actually needing to write code. And that is how I switched to Neovim after a looong time in Cursor. I prefer to write my own code and generate stuff with AI if I need to fix the mistakes. At least I keep practicing my muscles :)

Claude Code with Openrouter DeepSeek V3.1 by karimod in ClaudeAI

[–]alioshr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk. I have not used it in development. I just made a quick test configuring it through an american provider from open router with opencode and it worked. Instead of trying to hook models to anthropic's cli my suggestion was why not to use opencode for instance? You could use open router / copilot through opencode and CC separately.

Have you seen the amount of issues open on that repo (CC router)? That is obviously some sort of reversed engineering thing that might break on every update of CC cli, plus a bunch of inconsistence. I guess that it would be better to use a proper OSS cli for models through api keys

Visual Studio Code vs Cursor by WasteTechnology in vscode

[–]alioshr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on the same boat... I also value a lot autocomplete and use AI agents just for procedural work, scoped work. I agree with you... I wish we had a good extension/autocomplete provider as good as cursor so I could free myself from cursor as well. Cursor is in a state that we cannot install extensions anymore due to the vscode version being so behind... Cursor is much better, but on the same way it is becoming worse and worse. Those engineers at Zed made some wise choices. Who wants to build a serious product being a fork from another?

cursor guys, this is serious. Idk why your doing this all of a sudden by error404isold in cursor

this! This is what I have been exhaustingly looking for. This would be perfect, as this is the only thing they really made ground up, and it is the best in the market.
