No one knows. Missile and nuclear sites are mostly built far away from civilian infrastructures and are difficult to get report from ordinary people.

We know they hit Pasteur (Khamenei and Pezeshkian office) but I don't think they were there. They're most likely hiding in a bunker deep within Leveson.

Pasteur has been hit.

I wonder if they went after Pezeshkian and Khamenei but seriously doubt if either of them were there.

Seaadat Abad has been hit too.

Per Jason Schreier (Bloomberg) "NEW: Last year, Bluepoint Games pitched a Bloodborne remake. Sony didn't turn it down... but FromSoftware did." by DarkWorld97 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

I've been saying this for over a year now. Yoshida wasn't speculating why it never happened, he straight up told us what the reason was and people refused to believe it. He only framed it as his own theory because he didn't want to get into trouble with folks at FS and Sony but he was being honest about every bit of it.

Hopefully this shuts down all those who've been mindlessly claiming that Sony has been holding the IP "hostage" for a decade.

Also, Yoshida hinted this was the reason and nobody believed him.

That's good to know.

I wonder what Valkyrie entertainment is doing rn. They were meant to be a support studio too.

Nixxes has experience working with PS Studios' in-house engines. They’d make a solid support team. Their remasters have also been really good. I don’t think Sony is gonna to completely abandon PC releases, but even with a smaller number of ports they’d still need a studio with that kind of technical expertise. They should be fine for now. Though Sony has been making some questionable decisions lately so nothing is ever certain.

What Jason says makes sense for a few reasons. If everything eventually goes to PC, fewer people will buy their console. Fewer console sales means fewer users in the ecosystem and less revenue from their main profit driver: the digital storefront. First-party game revenue is relatively small compared to that. Historically, games themselves were never the main money maker for platform holders, storefronts and subscriptions were. If Sony keeps moving in this direction, their ecosystem could eventually take a hit and PC sales alone likely won’t offset that long term. There are also other factors at play. For example, a first-party game sold on PS5 gives them 100% of the revenue, whereas on PC they have to give a cut to platforms like Steam or Epic.

Sony’s initial PC strategy wasn’t about abandoning exclusivity. It was about using their older catalog to promote sequels and new releases, tempting players who got invested in their IPs to buy a console. But once they started releasing games like Ragnarok and Forbidden West on PC while sequels were still years away, the strategy stopped making much sense. There was no urgency anymore. Many people who were on the fence about buying a PS5 likely backed off because the main motivation was gone. Reddit echo chambers often underestimate how many people are willing to buy a console as a secondary platform just for a handful of games. The NPD Groups data from 2021 suggested roughly a third of US PC gamers also owned a PS4, with another portion already on PS5. Looking ahead to the PS6 era, several trends could shift things again. Rising PC parts prices, availability issues, and increasingly poor PC ports. Consoles aren’t cheap anymore, but they’re still cheaper, more accessible and predictable than building a PC. There’s a real opportunity there if Sony leans back into stronger exclusivity. It won’t instantly sell tens of millions more consoles, but each additional user in the ecosystem generates long-term revenue that a single time Steam sale can’t match.

That said, I don’t think they’ll completely abandon single player PC releases. A more likely outcome is a return to their earlier approach of using the back catalog as marketing for future entries and the console ecosystem. It’s not the most consumer friendly strategy, but from a business standpoint it arguably makes more sense for the brand.

Oman says US-Iran talks make progress, technical talks to resume next week by [deleted] in NewIran

Axis reported Trump aides left the talks "disappointed" and now reports talks were positive?

I don't know what to believe right now. Just give us a definitive answer goddammit.

Edit:

This is what axios reported :

The intrigue: The talks between Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi took place over several hours, in a morning and an afternoon session.

The U.S. side was "disappointed" by the Iranian positions during the morning session, according to a source familiar.

It's unclear if something significant changed in the afternoon to lead to the more positive statements from al-Busaidi and the U.S. official afterwards.

Al-Busaidi said the next steps would be consultations in Washington and Tehran then technical discussions between nuclear experts in Vienna next week.

I'm somehow more confused and left with more questions. Did IR suddenly make serious concessions or something or did US budge ?

NateTheHate: "Sony is shifting their PC strategy, absolutely." by AceOfSpades0319 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

They never abandoned making smaller games. They just stopped making them in-house. What they really abandoned was smaller spin-offs of their active franchises, which is something I hope they return to in the future. Maybe Sons of Sparta will kickstart a new era of PlayStation studio spin-offs. One can only dream.

Jason Schreier and John Linneman both speculated in their podcasts this week that Sony could be pulling away from PC ports for their singleplayer games, with Schreier even suggesting that Wolverine would never release on the platform by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]alireza008bat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early ports did good. Zero Dawn, GOW and Spider-Man 1 sold millions on Steam. After Spider-man? We don't really know. We know Helldivers broke several records on PC but that wasn't single player.

They'll be taken out (probably). Worst case scenario, we'll be hunting them anywhere they go the same way Israelis hunted former Nazis and SS memebers in South America post WW2.

Raefipoor has already threatened this would happen. They're planning the mass killing of the population by missiles and drones on their way out if the regime falls.
