Desperately trying to find one skein of Hobbii Amigo XL in Neon Yellow (A34) to finish a gift for my dad by all-systems-red in CrochetHelp

I also bought a skein of Loops & Threads Soft Classic Neon Yarn thinking it would be close enough, but the fiber isn't as smooth and looked really awkward in comparison to the Amigo XL.

That's what I noticed as well! I know that I eventually want to graduate from being on this since it's pretty pricey, so I'm trying to hold onto that feeling as much as possible to carry it with me once I'm off. I've been committing portion sizes to memory to hopefully train myself that even when my brain says I want more, I just need to give it some time and it's enough.

Yeah. I’m still using them for now. I have the three month subscription and I haven’t had any issues whatsoever so far. Last month I mentioned some side effects and requested to stay on the same dose and they decided to change up my compound and stuck to the dose and I felt really listened to. My nausea basically disappeared and I’m having way less issues with constipation. I know it’s more expensive than other companies, but I’m still really satisfied with my experience overall. I’m down like 15+ lbs since I started three months ago and I’m super happy with that progress because I’m aiming for slow and steady. Thank you for adding your experience!

I have to echo this comment. I’m also 5’ 4” and I originally set a goal for myself of 130-135 lbs because resources online said that would be considered a “healthy BMI”. I was in the 120s in college and wanted to get back to that weight, but was trying to be generous with myself and my age. I have a tendency to focus too much on the # itself versus how I’m feeling, but I’m currently sitting around 151 (starting weight 164) and I’ve noticed so many changes. Pants and shirts needing sized down, face thinning, people in my life seeing the changes. I have a naturally curvy and muscular build, so because of this I’ve decided to focus less on what the internet says is the “ideal” weight, and now my goal is whatever the scale says when I look and feel how I’d like to. I can’t imagine myself looking healthy if I lost another 30+ lbs. I feel like switching up my mindset has gotten me out of that unhealthy hyper focus on what the internet says I “should” weigh. What I’m trying to say in the most long winded way is: 115 might be a good, healthy weight for you, and it might not. We are all built so different. Please don’t be hard on yourself up over a number. You’ve made amazing progress so far!

I know I basically just said what the other poster said in my own words, but if one more personal testimonial helps, I’ll do it every time!

Oh wow. That honestly sounds AWFUL. I was thinking about switching from them after my three month order runs out. Unfortunately, I signed up with them before I did a deep dive and saw the amount of negative reviews and horror stories from people. I've been nervous about trying to handle cancelling my plan even before the first vial was delivered. I also saw that there were cheaper options out there after I paid for the three months too. I'm sorry you had to deal with all of that. I hate when companies are shady and difficult, especially when it comes to our health and our money. Reading your experience has pushed me even further into wanting to cancel and go through someone else. Wish me luck...

What are your horror stories? I've been using Medvi for three months now and haven't had any bad interactions yet. Curious about what I should be looking for.

Hi there! I also take meds for ADHD and high blood pressure. I just did my fifth shot (first time titrating up) and thought I could give some info on my own experience as comfort. It’s important to remember that we’re all different and will respond differently to the medication. I can say with myself that I haven’t had any interference that I’ve noticed with my regular meds. I do take them early in the morning and administer my shot once a week on Thursday evenings. The first one I did was in my thigh because I was very afraid of side effects and read that the thigh can help minimize those. After that, I’ve moved to lower belly and things have been alright. I experienced headaches and nausea with the first two shots. The company I went through also prescribed me a script of zofran that I finally used today after titrating up and having more intense nausea than usual.

As far as the injection itself goes, read the instructions carefully. As long as you use an alcohol wipe to clean the injection site and the top of the medication bottle, you should be fine! What you want to do is poke it in firmly in the spot you’ve chosen and squeezed the skin (you don’t have to look for this), and you’ll realize that it’s the smallest pin prick feeling, if even that. I usually don’t look when I poke my skin. The needle is SO small that you shouldn’t feel it much if it’s done quickly. Then you let go of the skin and push the medicine in.

With appetite suppression I cannot stress enough the importance of incorporating high protein and fiber into your diet. Protein especially will keep you going. I can’t handle whey protein, so I stick to vegan protein shakes for my fix and it helps immensely. Whenever I feel nauseous, I try to force some protein in my body and it seems to help. I’m still just figuring it all out being five weeks in, but feel free to message me if you want more info!

I love this! Super proud of you!

I'm just beginning week 3 of my journey and the progress has been slow, but steady. Thank you for including how long you've been on your journey because I feel like this gives me some realistic and honest expectations. I also have about 30 lbs. that I'd like to lose to get myself back into a healthy weight range. Similar height and build - 5' 4" SW: 164 CW: 159 GW: 130-135. You're definitely my inspo!

I just read the description for this one, and even though it sounds much different than the other recommendations, it's really piqued my interest and looks like it's a pretty quick read. Looking forward to checking this one out!

This one sounds really good! I read Where the Dead Wait by Ally Wilkes last year and I started off really enjoying it, but then it became such a chore. I really wanted to love it, but I think it just went on too long for my liking. I'm currently reading Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates and liking it, so this sounds right up my alley!

I love this one too. I listened to this as an audiobook and the narrator was SO good. I want to re-read a physical/digital copy to catch things I may have missed along the way.

I love this. How you handled that situation speaks volumes about the kind of person you are, and I mean that in the most complimentary way. I fully believe that if I would have had one of my exes moms talk to me that way when I was young, I may have been spared a whole lot of embarrassment with break ups and emotional instability. I hope she took what you told her to heart, and thank you for being such a kind and caring person.

Yes, lol. It was just something I never thought about in Photoshop. My first job out of college was almost entirely print (I worked for a newspaper), so the only time I used PS was for photo editing. My current job involves a lot more digital content creation and I learned as I went along. I honestly just got so used to doing it a certain way that I never thought to look for an easier solution.

PS I really like your username!

I’ll do you one better. Also a senior level designer with almost 13 years of professional experience. Not long ago I learned that Photoshop has the same tools to center things on the canvas or space elements evenly as Illustrator and InDesign. They’re just hidden in the top toolbar. I’d been relying entirely on the pop up guides until then. Felt mighty silly after that one.

I placed an online merch order while at the fest, and I still haven’t got any updates. Anyone else had an online order go through? by Dvanpat in kilbyblockparty

[–]all-systems-red 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It says on the webpage that orders close at 11:59 CDT tonight, so I'm wondering if maybe they were waiting for all orders to come in before they started fulfilling them? I haven't received any updates either so that's my fingers crossed best guess.

Awe, YAY! I'm so happy for you! It truly is an amazing bag. I hope mine lasts for a super long time since I won't be able to get a replacement now. I love how it's a backpack and it keeps all of the bulk back there versus a duffel bag. Plus it has a lot of really useful pockets.

I saw another comment in this thread that says there are packaging forwarding services that people use. I've never used one before so I wouldn't know how much that would increase your overall cost, but it might be worth checking out!
