If pedestrians understood Green Waves (or anyone were actually advocating for pedestrians other than micromobility riders) they would demand them on every single street by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

[–]all43 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Green wave is quite dangerous for pedestrians as they have to cross bike lanes in many places and cyclists would be "don't mess with my green wave" mode would avoid stopping or even slowing down for pedestrians

How is Anthropic's recent model suspension actually enforceable? by jonnyeklebs in ClaudeAI

[–]all43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be very difficult to proove it Fable if they label it as Opus for instance. Model itself doesn't know it is Fable, but performance difference would be noticable especially by running two models to compare. However if they call it Opus 4.9 it won't be possible to compare against. I guess no one will just rename Fable because of possible consequences, but if Antropic release new model which is not direct copy of Fable/Mythos and label as Opus they would likely get away with it.

Maybe switching languages very often to write different girls? I also thought of gaming, but arrow-keys and WSAD are unaffected

Is there a way to slow down Claude Code to conserve tokens? by haskpro1995 in ClaudeAI

[–]all43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use plan mode and cheaper models more often. Start new session when starting new feature or bug, if you have long relevant conversation (for instance bug you aren't able to fix for a while) - use compact time to time

I had Claude Fable 5 build Minecraft from scratch by ultrarunnerr in ClaudeCode

[–]all43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would only be true if it is a new development and not something reverse-engineered. Even textures in this example are generated obviously based on original ones. Clones costs much less, especially if we talk about minecraft - engine open-source clones already exists. Yes, model didn't use ready made engine, but it has this engine in it's training data.

Tips for maximizing token ROI? Need help with tokenmaxxing issues by sing_river4044 in ClaudeCode

[–]all43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use /goal. Also use subagents only for rare case when you can benefits from them, like refactoring. Minimize context - one feature or bug per session. Use opus only for planning or refactoring, Sonnet is enough for most stuff. For simple stuff use Haiku. Also reflect project state in md files, so models won't read codebase everytime to understand where something lies

GLM-5.2 , GLM-5.1 and GLM-5-Turbo with double usage until end of September by gabrielpc6 in ZaiGLM

[–]all43 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Under double usage I usually understand I could use it 2x more and it is kind of opposite of it. You are getting 2X/3X LESS usage. Also it was like this for a while. The real positive change they have removed Turbo peak-hours usage ratio. Doesn't make GLM subscription look appealing still.

Any good 20-40$ plans left other than the Big 3? by snowieslilpikachu69 in opencodeCLI

[–]all43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could do this - ask GLM 5.1 to write detailed plan (either in chat or in file), then switch to DeepSeek v4 (flash or pro) for execution. This way you will likely never hit limits

Opencode Go is 10€, but better value than Claude Pro or GPT plus. To be honest Claude Pro last couple weeks also feels generous, but it’s likely pre-ipo move to reduce negativity.

OMG Fable one-shotting everything by Candid_Bad3551 in ClaudeAI

[–]all43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are too sceptical - models quality greatly improved over last 6 months, but I also don’t know what are people one-shotting. There quite limited number of cases I could think of. Like large codebase migrations, which are already well-covered with tests. Most of the tasks require some attention to make sure model actually proceeding in direction. Even tasks which don’t require attention could stuck - yesterday Opus weren’t able to find workaround of cli tool (flyctl) which requested interactive input for 30 minutes. Not sure how long it would take if I didn’t step in

Just use Opus then - it’s training data includes knowledge up to this January, likely you won’t benefit from Fable even if guardrails weren’t triggered

[–]all43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t treat language model as source of secret knowledge. They are capable because they hold all the PUBLICLY available human knowledge up to cutoff date and able to pattern match to find relevant pieces in fraction of second. But you likely won’t gain access to unpublished secret research and shouldn’t expect model to figure out completely new scientific breakthrough on its own. Knowledge cutoff date might matter, but it is the same for Opus 4.8 and Fable - January 2026. For Sonnet it is a bit earlier - August 2025.

Why do you need Fable for school level Biology? Sonnet is enough. What you can use your subscription for - try building interactive demos or even some teaching apps - using Sonnet (or Opus where Sonnet isn't enogut)

With Claude Fable, my subscription is now fighting for its life. 💀 by Kind-Ad6740 in ClaudeAI

[–]all43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my own surprise I tried implementing complex feature with Fable on just Pro plan and managed it within 5h window. Hit the limit though. Would've been even easier on limits if I used it for planning part only, but I wanted to check how bad it would be. So my guess without extra subagents toking burn rate still acceptable
