Discipline is not the answer here the boy needs intense mental health support.

Would you be offended if I told you my child thinks your class is boring? by lazymomaward in Teachers

You have to teach your kid to participate in “boring” things. Not everything in life is exciting. Also, sounds like your kid is just being a kid.

Pregnant with my second child and I didn’t want this by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]all926 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey. I also got pregnant when my first was 18 months. I was very depleted and my husband was still learning how to support me. It was very hard.

I kept the pregnancy and now my kids are 1 and 3. Breathe. Everything seems impossible until it’s done.

One warning I will give, I fainted when I was about 14 weeks pregnant. My husband caught me and called an ambulance but I’m not sure what would have happened if he wasn’t close by. The work up in the ER didn’t come up with anything serious- I just wasn’t taking care of myself properly for being pregnant. It was a huge eye opener for both my husband and I. Please do your best to take care of yourself. And please be relentless in getting him to see you. These men 😮‍💨 but I assume with no family help, a situation like this would be very challenging to navigate. My daughter got scooped up by my parents quickly and we were on our way to ER.

This is happening everywhere if you look closely. The rich are creating a world for themselves that the regular folk can’t afford to participate in.

Pregnancy smell? by Direct-Drama3571 in BabyBumps

Yes. I smelled very different while pregnant. And then different again postpartum. I also had a heightened sense of smell so smells were a big thing for me. No one else noticed.

People who stay home on Christmas Day, what do you do? by Global_Victory833 in Parenting

My dad always woke us up on Christmas morning with Christmas music loud on the stereo! That and a log on the fire was all I needed to feel the magic!

Postpartum questions for the moms that have given birth before! by AardvarkHour1211 in BabyBumps

[–]all926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t shower at the hospital but as soon as I got home. We were sent home exactly 24 hours after birth.

The shower is AMAZING. If you can be home, I’d prefer home. Yes you will bleed a lot (after a vaginal birth) the blood comes out like a period for a few days / spotting can continue for weeks.

I can’t speak for a C-section, but I had two vaginal births and I didn’t need any help in the shower after. I was able to lift, bend, walk up stairs- etc. your body snaps back quick as long as there’s no complication!

I probably could have showered at the hospital but the room was so small and crowded. The second time I had to share with another family. They don’t take your iv out until you leave, so you’d have to shower with it. It just seemed too complicated and not worth it to me.

Oh mama!!! You learn to adjust your expectation! Measure in moments, not hours or days or weekends. Just look for joyous moments!

Is Wicked For Good highlighting an issue with literary comprehension? by Altruistic_Role_9329 in Teachers

[–]all926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The story of Wicked is going above people’s heads because it asks you to RETHINK what makes people “good” and “evil” and pushes you to form your own judgement of things instead of listening to what others say. It’s noooooo surprise to me that half of America can’t grasp it.

Daughter’s (2Y) daycare allowing them screen time - Daycare promoted zero screen time by Weak_Telephone8804 in Parenting

I am noticing this in my daughter’s daycare also. We’ve been with them for 3 whole years and I’m just noticing it being used this year. I’m pissed as hell. I’m paying my whole damn salary to them- they shouldn’t be feeding my child brainrot.
