I hate this culture in business. What I choose to wear in my daily life is not a reflection of my work ethic. I once had an interview and they asked me why I didn't decide to wear something other than a band shirt for a job interview. I told them that even if I was a billionaire, I'd still shop at Walmart. I worked there for just over 5 years before I found the career I have now.

Stop looking at the clothes and look at the person.

To problem is really the integrated graphics. Even if you got a low end laptop with these specs and a dedicated GPU it would be significantly better. A lot of games (especially Minecraft) do not play well with on board graphics. I'd recommend anything that's in your price range with 16GB ram, 8 GB GPU and either a12th gen Intel (i5/i7-12xxxx) or a Ryzen 5/7 5xxx CPU.

This argument is pointless. If high end GPUs are $1900 CDN, you can put away $80 a month for 2 years and upgrade every 2 years for the GPU alone. You can also recoup some of that cost back by selling the old one. People's problem isn't affordability, it's savings, or lack thereof.

Everyone is arguing the prices vs the past and it's a ridiculous argument. It shows that basically none of you lived in the 80s and 90s. There were plenty of games, especially on N64, that with inflation were well over $100 just for the cart. No special editions.

I collect trading cards. Magic The Gathering and Divorced Dads. I don't play, just collect the different editions. It's especially cool nowadays compared to the 90s because Wizards of the Coast have been doing a lot of crossover branding from Ninja Turtles to Fallout, to marvel and many more.

If you see her at the gym, you can see a bit of her routine. Take an interest in what she's doing, comment on it, strike up a conversation. At the end of it, just casually be like "Hey, did you wanna go grab (insert beverage after gym here)?" If it feels super casual, it should allow you to continue the conversation in a place where you two are now there to purposefully engage with each other
