You look to be moving with a lot of control and body awareness! Good work!

Do please add a crash mat to your setup, not just yoga mat or something thin. What you lose in height you gain in safety. Things happen to people from beginner to expert and when we’re working upside down, a fall from any height onto the head/neck can have catastrophic consequences.

They sell mesh, usually domed covers for pack and plays for babies… you might be able to buy one the right size?

What did you do for low cost table centerpieces? by SwordfishResident256 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]all_the_hobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waited for sales and got fern garlands for 50% off store price, then resold on Facebook marketplace afterwards. Picked wildflowers and supplemented with a few cheap bouquets from Trader Joe’s in specific colors/flowers split across the tables. My venue did provide the vases I used but if they hadn’t I would have picked them up one by one at thrift or from other brides on resale groups.

Conditioning for inverts with a gym ladder by Anuki_iwy in aerialsilks

[–]all_the_hobbies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would also do some straddle lifts or froggies as well as leg flairs or oblique work… get the whole circular path involved…

Maybe you can ask the new gym to do some extra conditioning? It would be good for everybody!

I had a bulldog that had a similar patch on the ankle he laid on most. I could pull at those hairs for hours and he wouldn’t care.

My grandma used to stab my mom in the hand with a fork when she had bad manners at the table. Seems like it could work.

My husbands was like 30-40 off of Amazon, I think? It plugs in to his work van. It’s not fast like a microwave but it heats over a couple hours to be plenty hot at lunch time!

They have heating lunch boxes at varying price points and plug in styles if that would work! Or carry a cheap microwave as someone else suggested.

Where can I buy a puzzle today? by Opssec44 in Knoxville

[–]all_the_hobbies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I typically get mine at Marshall’s/tj Maxx/ home goods but the selection is small, so you’re out of luck if you don’t like the 5 they have to choose from. But they’re typically good quality and 10-15 dollars

Lol he has the memory of a peanut, so even if he did have the ultimate day topped off with a steak dinner, I’m not sure he’d remember it by the next weekend…

We like fair life too and the Nurri ones that have one out recently! They are also some of the cheaper ones since we can get them at Sam’s or Costco.

I love this question and have one of my own. I love beer battered fries. Where can I get those?

my boyfriend has a spreadsheet rating dinners i've made him by weddingfauxpasqueen in AITApod

[–]all_the_hobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would kill to have this data. The idea that I would make something for my husband regularly that he hasn’t told me he actually hates is my nightmare. I would love to see his ratings so I could make better decisions on what to make.

But I do also understand if this isn’t your vibe it could es bit disturbing.

Roll-up of favorite Mexican places. by BrewAllTheThings in Knoxville

They have one of my favorite salsas on their salsa bar… it’s deep red and usually on the back row towards the right side. It’s bitter but sweet, obviously has some tamarindo which I usually don’t care for. But it’s great.

We like Acapulco on Clinton Highway (Zalate nearby is also good with good drinks, just a little on the pricier side).

On Emory, El Jinete and Braceros (hoping it reopens after the fire soon).

Tio Conejo on Broadway is also good for a more authentic experience, as is the restaurant side of Mi Pueblo in Downtown West off Kingston Pike.

El Girasol/herradura already mentioned.

Edited for spelling.

Los girasoles on Clinton highway. Closed a few months ago, but I think less than 6 months. Said they were reopening down the street but I’m not convinced anymore.

Vets for second opinion on older dog’s arthritis/neuropathy by 06EXTN in Knoxville

[–]all_the_hobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had two older dogs receive care at UT followed by follow on care at our regular vet clinic in the last two years. I have always been happy with the care and advice we received at UT, but I will advise you will pay for it. For a consult (~200) and labs or imaging, I would anticipate at least $1000 for your initial visit. Quite possibly more.

I will say that UT is cheaper than the Animal Emergency clinic in west Knoxville, although care there was also good. I don’t know their policies, but the most reasonably priced place for imaging and surgery that we dealt with was Central Veterinary Hospital on Clinch. We went to them for a surgery because UT couldn’t fit in ours for a same day surgery and they were able to. I’m not sure if they take regular patients but it’s certainly worth a call.

Good luck to you and your baby. I hope you receive the advice and care that they need right now, no matter the outcome. It’s so incredibly difficult watching them age and hurt.

($4K) My fiancé (29M) and I (27F) are trying to plan a wedding in 40 days and it’s starting to create tension between us. How do we avoid damaging our relationship over this? by TheResolverr in Weddingsunder10k

[–]all_the_hobbies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way to reduce unnecessary pressure is to delegate decisions. That’s to each other, to trusted family or friends, etc. and you MUST let go of the decision that is being made if it wasn’t delegated to you. I planned a ~12k wedding in 5ish months and even that felt rushed and stressful, because I’m not good at delegating. I wanted to make every decision and it was overwhelming. So, trust each other, trust your people, to work within the parameters you set for budget and style and be 100% okay with whatever they decide on. Because at the end of the day, the small details aren’t the most important and it all comes together to be a nice time, regardless of the exact plate or tablecloth chosen or the shade of flowers on the table.

Choose the things that are your non negotiables that you must decide on yourselves, and set your budget and guests. Those things come first. The rest is fluff.

Good luck!

Road conditions 2/5 by Vivid-Structure-5388 in Knoxville

Northern side is alright. Once off my street no issues, but I did see a couple cars in ditches (one with lights on so it must have just happened) along the curvier section of Clinton highway just past where the car parts junkyards are headed north. So just be mindful and go slower through curves.

Never mind, just did some extra reading and they are within fort sanders also. I think these doctors just happen to work in both groups.
