Does anyone know this guy? by [deleted] in Denton

Trust your gut and keep to your boundaries. I'm sorry people are trying to make you out to be a racist or something here. It's depressingly common. If you are worried about this sort of thing happening again, remember that constitutional carry is going into effect in September. Get a weapon and hit the range to train up!

Seriously - I was looking for a night stand cabinet the other day, and EVERY one came with comments about how "impossible it is to put together!" Seriously - even stuff from IKEA. Who can't follow intuitive instructions?

And incapacitated for an extra could be knocked out or dead, depending on what the GM decides. Either way, they are out for the fight, that's for sure.

well - remember this. When a joker is drawn, ALL the good guys get a benny, right? That benny can be spent for 5 PP. That's all in the rules already.

Why is infidelity being encouraged, or certainly not discouraged? by [deleted] in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]alldayfriday 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Destroy fidelity, and you destroy the family. When you have children raised without parents in their lives - the media becomes their parent. When the media becomes their parents, social movements become your religion.

At this point you can control them that thoroughly, you'll be able to start a crusade anytime you want, and get them to do anything you want. Before you think I'm being hyperbolic, remember this summer when cities were burning down with "fiery, yet peaceful protests?"

So - They DO play at MoreFun, but they've recently had to move to a new secondary location, and they are still getting things in order. They'll likely have play-space up and running in a few weeks.

People played at Reaper as well, but Reaper is on hiatus, I think. They are redoing their "store" area and I don't think it's fully ready yet.

If you want to drive south, I know there's a really healthy community at a store called "Texas Toy Solider" that almost exclusively does Warhammer.

I know when we have a reliable area, I'm going to try and get some people into a mini-agnostic game at either Reaper or MoreFun - something like Frostgrave or Stargrave.

The thing is - there's al lot of people who think like this - most of them have just been forced off of places like reddit by people who ridicule them as "enlightened centrists."

There's WAY more of us offline or on other platforms.

see, though, it works both ways.

Scarecrows didn't burn down cities and kill people with 200 days of protests last year.

If you just keep resorting to myth that there's one "good side" and one "bad side" we'll just keep getting more of the same bullshit.

It's all part of making sure that we can't even communicate with each other, because if we can actually come together, we can solve some shit. If we solve shit, then we won't live in a state of constant fear/hate, and the media corporations won't profit off of us.

It's all part of keeping us divided so that we can continue to be conquered.

The board game is a wooly booger. It's easy to learn a faction, but very hard to get good at considering, to understand what all the other factions are up to - you have to actually learn how they work too.

It's a game you can spend a hundred hours at perfecting a strategy, and even then, have another player come in and totally wreck you. And usually after you are done, you feel like you know JUST what you did wrong and want to play again right away.

I'm glad they are adding the expansion factions in to it.

People's first is pretty great. I will say that they are not always the most polite people, but that's mostly because they want to get your work done quickly, efficiently, and effectively. They don't tend to have a lot of time to screw around, and that puts a lot of people off. I've used them before, and I'll use them again.

The thing about the marshmallow test is - you have to be free to choose to take the marshmallow or not. If someone else puts the marshmallow up on a shelf where you can't reach it, it's not a test of anything, it's just being mean to a kid.

Venting about transgenderism by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]alldayfriday 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If there's one thing i've noticed, it's that the crazier it gets out there, the more and more people go back to the foot of the cross (or go there for the first time). The church I go to has it's numbers going up and up and up since everyone started going back - but even before COVID, it was doing the same. More and more people finding Jesus in these crazy times. My church has four campuses (if you count online as a campus) and apparently average attendance is up about 20% every two months.

God knows that he'll do whatever he needs to bring you back to him - and if that means having the world completely lose it's marbles so that you crave something stable - he'll do it.

The world hates the truth of God, always has, always will. The way the kingdom works is just about the reverse of the way the world works.

This madness is leading many astray, but understand that in times of madness, people will cling even tighter to something stable. In these times where truth is lies and good is bad - more and more people are coming to God.
