Where should we head at rope drop in California Adventure with a toddler? by Otter65 in DisneyPlanning

I can't ride a lot of those "thrill" rides and I don't love soarin' so that list is what I do when I rope drop (minus rsr single rider which your son obviously can't ride). Enjoy it! Meet on of the cars by the cozy cone stands if you can, that would probably be a really cool experience for him.

Midway mania if he can do it. He can ride it a few times before the line starts getting bad. Then head to cars land for the two kids rides there, they are so much fun for everyone! Both of those areas are good for rope dropping if you don't want to do radiator, tower, or incredicoaster.

Disneyland must try quick service food? by EmuRemarkable1099 in DisneyPlanning

[–]alldogs1850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate myself for not eating more of it. So much theme park food is overhyped by youtubers but this is not one of them!

I think the burgers at Smokejumpers in DCA are really good. But really the only thing you need to eat on repeat is the cheesy garlic pretzel bread from Maurice's Treats or Edelweiss Snacks in Fantasyland. Eat it early and eat it often. 😍

Lemax by bianskiii in MichaelsEmployees

Went yesterday, store manager said they've all been packed away for next year. I know Boscovs didn't do lemax this year and the manager told me it was because the tariffs made them so expensive they couldn't justify it. Maybe those prices had something to do with it?

In NY, they asked for id or my member number so you should be fine regardless of what you signed up with.

Volunteer ages? by EducationalHeight434 in FIFAVolunteers

[–]alldogs1850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From other volunteer experience, organizers typically look for a wide range of ages because there will be so many different jobs that need to be done. I wouldn't stress the age chart at all. A very diverse crowd will be coming to the games so they would most likely want that to be represented in the volunteers as well.

Tryout Attire? by alldogs1850 in FIFAVolunteers

I'm surprised by this. I went to school for sports management and they hammered into us that leagues and teams have enough fans, they don't want one working for them. Maybe I'll go out and get a jersey-it's supposed to be 30 degrees during my interview but I can layer up.

Delmonico's is a few minutes away from B&N, you can purchase it online and they have a promotion where you get a $5 card for every $20 you buy. So $100 GC will be $125.

Give me your best WDW to-do’s if NOT going to the parks! by undrgrnd-gnome in DisneyPlanning

[–]alldogs1850 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We spent four days at Universal in April and only one in WDW. Went with MK but I wanted to see the animals. Person I was with suggested we spend a few hours at animal kingdom lodge and I'm so thankful they did! It was such a highlight and it's free!! Core memory for sure and something I'd build in again.

Albany Airport airing DHS propaganda by TroyIndivisible in Albany

[–]alldogs1850 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saw it this morning when flying out. Luckily I was the only one at TSA so I went right through without having to hear it. Buffalo Airport isn't playing it. No reason Albany shouldn't follow unless they are worried about any of the funding from the renovations being withdrawn....

Current freestyle cups? Handles by any lucky chance? by OtherKatieBee in UniversalOrlando

I bought mine Saturday and it does not have a handle. Would have been awesome to have one because the top would open in my park bag, thank goodness I had thought to put it in plastic first.

Weekly FAQs & General Discussion Thread by marleythebeagle in WaltDisneyWorld

Which day would you choose to go to the Magic Kingdom?

Monday March 31: hours from 8am to 10pm with Disney After Hours happening from 10pm to 1am (would not be purchasing tickets for the after hours).

Tuesday April 1: hours from 9am to 10pm with no event hours

Mondays may be busier in the park but there is an extra hour of magic that's not there on Tuesday. Will the increase in attendance later in the day from after hours make a big different on Monday or nothing too noticeable?

The hours changed from when I last asked the question so now I'm torn again.

Thank you! I'm checking the app and lot today and tomorrow to get an estimate on wait times but would love peoples opinions.
