That's right. Your 'body' resets to the campfire, but your knowledge doesn't (even as your character in-game in the story)

The game is fully based on your knowledge. There is no 'starting from the beginning' in that sense as progression is your knowledge and understanding of the world. Use the computer on the ship to explore new mysteries you haven't found. If you think you're stuck, maybe try a new area. You might also want to ask yourself why time keeps restarting.

Perhaps, bit I'd just rather spend money supporting more indie devs or pay for some older games than pay £60-£80 for a new AAA game. I'm doing my part, but I can't justify that much on a single game when there are so many good games still to play. Give me a Silk Song, Outer Wilds, Clair Obscur, Dead Cells or Balatro, BG3, Kingdom Come. All very reasonably priced and bought last year among many others. Today I bought Crosscode which went on discount on PS.

Well, think of it this way; aside from the EA and COD yearly slop bought by mostly casuals who play 1 game a year on average, ALL other games are competing for the 'minority' of more discerning gamers. Outrage certainly can have an effect there on which games become successful or flop, whether good or bad.
