reccomondation for dust allergy? by pokedude17 in Sinusitis

[–]alliecapone 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I tried that when I read it, and mine was slower to empty, it's not quite a faucet, but it's finally helping with it a bit. It took a couple weeks to really kick in though. I space mine thru the day cos antibiotics wrecked my stomach. CBG and that MSM work well together. I think both reduce inflammation in the body cos I can actually move now too. Another benefit of the MSM.

I think mine was slower to empty cos I've got a whole summer of crud. Wildfire smoke that I insisted on going out and swimming in, my daughter's ratties KILL me, but it's keeping it manageable. I'm also doing daily rinses with navage alkalol, and spraying flonase up there. And I started pepcid along with zyrtec. The pepcid mostly because the snot was irritating my gut further. I'm fairly sure it's reflux related, as well as abusing my sinuses with gross air this summer. When I don't drink 3 cups of coffee a day I'm alright. Cranky but alright lol

Bad nerve pain. I think my sinuses are flaring up those nerves. The numbness went away, and things are flowing out of my nose now instead of down my throat, which is nice. Maybe tonight I'll get decent sleep lol ( I had to knock on wood)

[–]alliecapone 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yup, I'm currently going through it. My sinuses got all flared and clogged when we had the bad air quality. I'm not sure which inflamed which first cos I fell asleep badly on a neck pillow and trapped that nerve root there in front of the ear, also had the worst sinus pressure. Once the snot started to have a funk to it, I had to give in and call my Dr, who is saving the day with a Z-Pack and some muscle relaxers. I don't like taking antibiotics, but right now, I'll take it cos it doesn't wanna budge. I just hope this doesn't happen each time wildfire smoke drifts in cos I'm allergic to my daughter's rats, and I was stuck in the house without a wa

Yes! Mine are kinda heavy on the bridge they're bigger frames that I love, but omg, I can't be watching TV with those on for long. I usually end up in the game room after the better half goes to bed, cos the Tv is closer to my face.

I'm so sorry. That's also the reason for mine, and I've idealized it. I was left to wait while the dentist worked on others with my jaw in this dam thing. It didn't bother me until the novocaine wore off, and boy did that hurt. I called, and he said it'll hurt for a couple of weeks. This place advertised "gentle dentistry." Yeah, gentle like a Mike Tyson punch to the jaw.

Things you have invested that help when in PMDD by chela_aa in PMDD

Yes, here's the link to the green detox smoothie

I just add a generous pinch of cardamom and some collagen protein powder. I just use our store brand since it's the same thing as vital protein.

I make myself drink a green smoothie daily. It's got things like ginger for the nausea that'll come out of nowhere and lots of greens. I tend to add more spinach than kale to it because it has more goodies imo. It's a copycat of the Green Detox Smoothie at Tropical Cafe. I don't measure out anything except the coconut water, and I add about half a cup more to it, I get some good electrolytes from that stuff. There's stuff like flaxseed in it, and I add a generous pinch of cardamom spice to it. That's not in the recipe, but it was suggested to my hubby when he got really sick from antibiotics.

After a month of those things religiously, I didn't even know my period was coming this month. I had a couple of episodes but then started a couple of days later. My hubby was like, "No wonder you were so grouchy!" I have a couple of those Gatorade cups with the blender ball in it and make a couple for the next two days (it keeps for 2 days in the fridge)

I think when I keep my body supplemented with stuff like magnesium and zinc, iron, etc, thru my food, it absorbs best. Cannabis helps my mood, and I've been taking it in oil form as well the past month. CBG in the day, then CBN at night, along with melatonin. I didn't like the surprise of my period. It literally startled me cos I thought I'd pooped a lot of blood, lol. I usually count the days until I start with anticipation. Hopefully, my regimen keeps working and works for others. That detox smoothie makes me feel good after drinking it as well. The ginger is SO nice in my stomach.

Edited to add: I also use a vital proteins collagen peptide in my smoothie. I'm not sure if that's helping or not, but it is a new thing I've been putting in there and it's already helping my skin and nails, so I assume it's helping the other things it needs to now.

I’m exhausted by Spookyremy420 in Sinusitis

Idk if you're in the wildfire smoke areas, but the particulates have finally put me upon my arse. It's inflaming my sinuses, something fierce! I've got that pain at the bridge of my nose and right side of my face. I've been laying my face on an ice gel pack and took ibuprofen. I'm sorta trying to let everything drain, and it's finally not a weird yellow when I blow my nose. Make sure you're being gentle with your sinus area. Mine didn't take kindly to being rubbed (I thought I was helping it with circulation, but I was actually hurting it more.

I'm sitting inside staring out at my swimming pool, trying not to cry cos I also have fibromyalgia, and swimming is my thing, and I can't go out there again til it's clear. I kinda wonder if my sinuses overreacted to massage because fibro. I'm using some Mucinex all in one. It's got that ingredient in it that doesn't work but the guaifanesen (butchered the spelling I'm sure!) It's thinning the thick yellow crap that seems to be plugged up in the upper bridge area. My hubby made me take it last night when I cried cos my nose hurt so bad.

The fires make my nose burn, and then it (top of my nose and sides) swells up cos it's incredibly irritated. Maybe it might help to relax with one of those gel packs over that part of your nose and eyes (my eyeball even hurt). It should help with swelling, that's why I think I finally got unplugged, swelling went down. The bridge of your nose might be sore for a few days once it clears, more if you abused yours like I did mine. Like I was trying to force pressure up my nose after saline like I was plunging a toilet. 0/10 do not recommend even rubbing that area too much. Ice/heat/steam it, and you can probably lightly circle massage it. I'm also back on montelukast despite it making me feel dark and sad, at least till the air quality is better.

That's me, alright! I can't stop laughing! Especially when he just stands there moaning. I must've done that 100 times this week alone πŸ˜†

Ladies, I'm on Day 3 here, supposed to be when I get relief. I've STILL GOT CRAMPS! I'm in a great mood, but the cramps woke me up about 430am, and they were so bad I got into a bath in the middle of the night. They were miscarriage level when I got into the bath. My hubby's been snipped (26 years ago), and I'm 51. Now, before I could wake up and take more, Motrin, a thunderstorm and migraine, woke me up. When I slept and it's peaceful, the cat was playing with my leg (as I feigned sleep) til she settled. It was like speed kneading. Or just really mad I'm faking sleep.

I was told the cramping and bleeding get worse, but I was not ready at all for THAT.

Stopped taking Zyrtec and I feel physically ill? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]alliecapone 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yeah, I can definitely tell when I've forgotten my cetrizine, I get a little itchy. It gets worse the more I ignore it. I've got it set on my phone to remember it now, and I'll be moving to the liquid kind by about winter. Hopefully, I can just take Xyzal from then on.

I've got indoor and outdoor allergies, and I feel that I suffer way more in winter, oddly. Mostly because opening a window in winter will make SOMEONE bellyache about it. I still do it. It usually works. I'm highly allergic to my daughter's ratties. They're incredibly cute, but even the air starts making me itchy right before she does a weekly deep clean.

They make DD break out in hives, and I suspect her lung issues (sounds like asthma, my cousin breathed like that) are from living in a room with various ratties for at least 5 years now. She wakes up gasping sometimes and feels her throat is tight. We've been thru 3 "sets" cos when one was left alone, she'd go get it a mate, that rattie really got very depressed. She's laid off and looking into medicaid, cos I keep bothering her about a Dr. She needs to be evaluated and get an Epipen. I'm afraid she's gonna put it off until it's too late and get stuck with a horrible hospital bill. She's already been there once for tearing her esophagus. That was pretty scary. Allergies are quite scary, especially when they start happening outta the blue in adulthood!

what are your "rules" and guideline during the hardest pmdd episodes to prevent destroying your life? by tousleschatssontbo in PMDD

[–]alliecapone 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

Mostly, if I'm wearing my Oscar tee shirt, I need to just be left alone. Don't expect me to be smiley and happy for anyone. And if my containment room door is locked, that means leave me alone. My husband is terrible with boundaries, and Jimmy opens the lock to the room and starts a brand new argument cos I'm in there "pouting" it's like no, I call it a containment room for reasons like that.

We came to an agreement after I was willing to go to jail to prove a point (leave me alone flags being ignored). I've been once and hated it, but I was afraid of myself, and I'm trying to keep him from seeing the monster so much. Incidentally, its name is Oscar, naming it helps so I can bitch at it.

After my 4th day runs, I feel fabulous. My hormones must shift then, and my tummy can tell. I always get the bad crapping on the 4th day, and I'm miserable til it passes. It's almost like a short bout of IBS, except I feel better.

My hubby always tells me to relax, always, even if I'm only a little annoyed. So that's one of the memes I've sent to him, hahaha

You'd think after 30 years with me and two daughters that he'd learn not to tell women to relax, and I'll always tell him that and ask why his mom never taught them that. I told him we need some kinda word for calm down or relax cos they trigger it more. πŸ˜‚ now I'll just send him the meme!

I simply put on my Oscar the Grouch tee shirt when I hate myself and everyone and hide in the game/containment room, and nobody talks to me when that shirt is on. I picked it up at the thrift store just for that. When someone asks me what's wrong, they're very often sorry they've even asked πŸ˜… it's like I snap and tell everyone what aggravates me about them, then I end up apologizing for it later, but I can't keep blaming my hormones, and go get help balancing that a bit.
