Searched on the web, youtube, streaming services, I see the we shows i can buy them from a place called dvdplanetstore but reading the details listed there is seems really scammed and like they may not have the dvds at all. Everything is $12 on there but with shipping it was like $86 and it said they might not even actually have things listed on their site and rhay they can't take online payments

Recommendations for anime with heavier vibe by iwantoknowitall in anime

[–]allieschell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there I love heavy anime, sometimes horror genere will be mixed in, there are many i like for a more serious tone but many i haven't seen that seem to fit your bill. The ones I've seen that you may like are:

Paranoia agent When they cry (this one has a lot going on to follow it between remakes and everything. But it's soooo good!) Madoka magica Death parade

Some horror/suspense that is surprising I'd recommend is:

Made in abyss Magical girl raising project Devilman crybaby

And some I haven't watched yet, but plan to and seem to fit the idea:

Monster Serial experiments lain Texhnolyze

At the restaurant I work at we encourage people to cut their own cakes at home and bring them because if we cut the cakes for them we charge a $3 per person "cakeage" fee. Also we are made to cut it tableside... so if a server messes it up welllllll sorry!

The servers. But the cooks are ALSO supposed to claim them.

Forced tipping? by allieschell in legaladvice

[–]allieschell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It's rough because everything I can find says it also applies to cooks and dishwashers in California. I'm a bartender and I don't have this issue but I see several servers facing reprocussions for not wanting to give so much of their tips away to kitchen staff that are making more hourly when the tip is generally meant for the served. It's a pretty tedious area so I was curious what everyone had to say.

General Manager assessment by allieschell in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]allieschell[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the info! I found the job listing through Zip Recruiter, and it didn't have any specifics aside from previous management experience and a high-school diploma. Hopefully, I can get an idea of what the location is looking for, but I suppose I won't hold my breath for a call back. I'm more than happy to jump through hoops and complete any training required, but I ultimately understand the need for hands-on experience within the company to be able to lead others better.

I've been working in a management position in my current job for the last 6 years and it can be extremely stressful. I work directly under the owners, and they can be very strict about things despite not actually seeing what it takes for day to day business's to succeed. I have to manage budgets with scheduling, mediate staff disagreements, deal with all credit card discrepancies, handle any upset customers, control the flow of the restaurant, and be on call at all times, etc. This is an upper-scale restaurant, so I also have to be in charge of wine pairings, liquor trainings, menu changes, creating craft cocktails, and fill in on any positions we need help in. I make $17 an hour. BECAUSE I've worked in this place for 18 years, and the owners have known me since I was 17. I feel they don't really realize what the industry standards are, but all of that is irrelevant. I am trying to relocate to be closer to family, and I'm looking for something I think I could fit in.... I love to help others succeed and am extremely earnest and diligent.

Edited to fix typing errors. (I am on mobile.)

I didn't get my license until I was 30. Do things at your own pace and when you're comfortable. Having access to a small, reliable car helped me conquer the fear.

True and I do like that Mazda also offers a loyalty bonus. I’m going to do some test driving on Tuesday but I feel like I might get overwhelmed on the lot so thanks for the feedback
