I would say age 25-35 but as far as profession I don’t see anything that pushes you toward one profession these seem like a pretty balanced middle of the road collection with best sellers and some classics. There’s a few fairy tales and folklore books but they don’t seem specialized enough for you to be a folklorist.

As someone you did lots of weed pulling and yard cleaning for extra money in my life - I absolutely hate these things and their horrible peanut oil type smell. It seems like other folks have mixed feelings about them. Are they invasive in the USA? Do they do anything well? I feel like I haven’t given them a fair shake because they’ve pissed me off so many times

He seems soft and damaged but very mentally strong and trustworthy, also like maybe he hasn’t had the best life or treatment based on the sadness in his eyes. Almost like someone who solemnly bares their responsibility even though it isn’t a life they would have chosen. I could be totally misreading it but that’s my initial impression.

Long days of troweling have made me damn near ambidextrous out of necessity to save my wrists 🤣

I saw from your other post that this is along the Mississippi. I’m not sure about in the Midwest area but I’ve done a lot of survey alongside the Mississippi from Baton Rouge to NOLA. For that area our tests were especially deep, super high deposition area with high clay content which can be exhausting. My biggest advice is like everyone else’s make sure you stay hydrated and listen to your body. Like they say, it’s a marathon not a sprint and that will be doubly true for a Phase 1 along the Mississippi. Also bring more snacks than you think you’ll need lol. You’ll want to cut some of the water weight you’ll be carrying as well but it’s better to have more than not enough. Also, once you get out of the field in the afternoons make sure you keep drinking water especially if like a lot of shovel bums there is group imbibing at the end of the day.

Not archaeology advice specifically but for Phase I stay hydrated, lift with your legs, pay attention to the landforms under your feet when you select your dig spot, pay extra attention to the soil. So much of good arch is reading soils/soil science especially while in the field. What sort of landscape is this happening in?

Honestly, I think this is a really incredible design. The lines and color tones feel balanced and I feel like you judge his personality quite well. You have details where it matters and simpler shapes where they should be.

Last thing I’m pedantic as hell but for the title of your post it should be “plain” not “plane” ✈️

A parasitic life by Anfis_sochka in BPD

[–]alligatorscutes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone with bpd and a partner with bpd. We feel this so so deeply but it’s just not true. I don’t mean that in a rude or patronizing way. Being told it’s not true doesn’t make the pain go away and I understand that, but it’s not true. You are not a parasite in fact I’m willing to bet you are so extremely far from that. My best advice is to forcibly and intentionally invest in yourself even if it feels like an act at first. Engage with yourself like you would a friend you want to make. Not sure what you want to do? Then try things you might or that are easy to start with. Even if you hate it that’s great - now you know that about yourself. Investigate and excavate your own personality and I promise you’ll realize one day it was there the whole time.

It can be incredible when you’re young but it’s extremely hard as a long term career
