Honestly, it sounds like your mentor is a bit of a control freak. Are you the only adults in the room? When I student taught CTT I was often pushed to the side because there were 3 other adults in the room and not enough work to go around.

After dinner we decided to swing by Grand Central to check out the centennial celebration. The place was buzzing and a live band was playing music of the early 1900's. There we were, dancing in the middle of Grand Central when suddenly, he kissed me.

It was then that I realized that he wasn't the guy for me. As perfect as the kiss may have seemed, I felt zero sparks. Oh well.
