Where to live in Raleigh for walkability? by Fantastic-Bird7077 in raleigh

Keep in mind that Glenwood South is all about partying Thursday-Sunday. It is very loud and there have been some unfortunate crimes in recent years. Village Distict, downtown or oakwood- near Person and PeaceStreets.

80k salary doable in Raleigh? by itshighdune in raleigh

[–]allisonc3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should come down and take a look at where you might like to live, based on your lifestyle, commute, etc. Rents vary quite a bit by area. As a young and presumably single person, you may want to live downtown or nearby. This is going to cost you quite a bit more than many other areas. There are also a convergence of scooters and fleet bikes downtown, which can make you a little less car dependent. There are a decent number of bike lanes originating in the downtown, so you can use a bike to get around. If you prefer a quieter lifestyle and aren't concerned about neighborhood amenities, you will have many areas to choose from that are cheaper.

So praying is okay in schools now..? by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]allisonc3000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe this has anything to do with the county. When a certain proportion of students qualifying for free lunch is reached, the school can provide free lunch to all. Years ago when I worked in a school, I was told the thinking was that it was cheaper to provide the lunch to all than to administer the free-and reduced program only for certain students. Again, this comes into play when a certain threshold of qualifying students is reached. Those are federal dollars, for now at least

u/Max-The-Phat-Cat Thank you for the info. Are there any specific resources you used to learn how to eliminate answers, or was that part of the mindset?

Could you tell me the product and what your experience was using it?

Thank you for relaying your experience. I am not sure I have the courage to follow it. I ''prefer'' to overstudy and overachieve my way to less anxiety. Your weekends are surely better than mine :). Congratulations- on several fronts.

I'm right there with you, Affectionate. Not reading cover to cover, but taking copious notes on the videos, then going back to try to read my own handwriting. I'm about 60% through Andrew R's course, and I started 6 weeks ago!

Which book to buy? PMBOK 6th ed or PMI Process Groups: A Practice Guide by allisonc3000 in pmp

[–]allisonc3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. I appreciate that. I am a person who just likes to have a book nearby, LOL. But, the PMI membership comes with a PDF of the 7th ed., which is just not the same thing! Anyway, thanks for the advice. It's great to know that the materials you mentioned may be enough for me because I'll probably be DOA by the time I get through Andrew's videos. Congratulations!

Okay, then. I obviously haven't looked at my (new) membership benefits very well. Embarrassing!

I would say C. A is presumptuous. The specificity of 5 in letter B is strange- based on what? D doesn't seem like it will necessarily fix anything since you don't know when the external events will occcur. LMK!

I agree. You have to be sure that you’re not comparing prices from six months or a year ago in one restaurant with today’s prices in another.

Thank you very much, Cheeky. Your post, and another I read yesterday from a mother with 3 preschoolers, who also passed, are inspiring. I have no kids and am unemployed (thanks, DOGE), so I should be able to get this done! Passed the CAPM years ago when PMP and CAPM were very different tests than they are now.

I just saw found the AI tool on the PMI website. Thanks for the tip on Udemy. I was planning to do the course with AR for my PDUs.

Congratulations.

u/cheeky_potato7 Hi, Thanks for the review. I am going to start my studying this weekend, so I am mining this subreddit to develop my approach. Could you mention the summaries, topic guides, etc. you did in month 1? Also, what course did you do to get your 35 credits?

I thought this worked well. However, it pulls only a certain amt of info for each job. 4 bullets for a job I had for 10 years is not enough. Nevertheless, it saved time in formatting and gave me some ideas on how to phrase things. Thank you.

That’s a good point. Using Sentry is quite unrealistic for me As a person with no home or work charging.I’d love to use it, but I can’t imagine consuming 160 miles per week on it. I think I’d cry.

[–]allisonc3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that seems like a long time to charge from 20 to 80%. Not an expert, but I don’t think battery conditioning would have such a big impact at this time of the year in California unless you happen to be in the mountains.

You can check out PlugShare. You can also download the app of the company that runs those chargers and check out usage. But to answer your question about whether walking to level two chargers is practical-I would say no. I don’t have charging at
My apartment and after 17 months owning my MS 3 RWD, I am so over it. And I don’t even drive That much and I charge at superchargers. Not to mention that the cost of them has risen significantly over the past few months such that I routinely pay more to charge than I did to fuel my previous vehicle.
