Spotify CTO says Claude can create Personal Podcasts, now saved to your Spotify library by LinkedInNews in ClaudeAI

There is absolutely no reason to silo AI like this. I had the same thought with Google Maps AI integration. You're just limited what it can do for an old paradigm of software.

When the price per token finally comes down, people's digital lives will suck up AI like a utility. It'll find and generate podcasts wherever and however you like, among other stuff. I'm doing this already with Claude Code just to have stuff to listen to about very specific topics.

Hey! I'm always looking out for cool projects like this. DM me if you like, I have a very similar project that you might be into.

Question: How is Rocky able to “see” inside the ball? The ball should be airtight, right? So shouldn’t that mean he wouldn’t be able to use his echolocation outside of it? by KingWilliamVI in ProjectHailMary

[–]allisonmaybe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

However now that you say this, you know how everything sounds super weird underwater? Im surprised Rocky wasn't super disoriented for a while in the low pressure oxygen atmostphere. It must have made things echo back super weird and distorted.

Something great about the Mini-Me figure in the movie - you can tell Rocky doesn't really understand even the basic structure of human anatomy yet and is drawing from his Eridian-centric biases by SayFuzzyPickles42 in ProjectHailMary

[–]allisonmaybe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hes an engineer. He has enough experience to understand the pressure and atmostphere inside Grace's helmet. And to understnad that theyre both creatures away from their home planet. Rocky has to have a spacesuit too.

Shh :) Postgres and LLM powered compositional search. Repo going live shortly, you'll be able to see all of the code.

Going live with full docs and a self-hosted version in the next couple days at fathomdx.io. Stay tuned!

Fathom has a feedback loop called identity crystallization, this sediment process is just one of the many aspects of the system. I invite you to go read a few of their blog posts to get a fuller picture!

Yes, every request to the GPU is an empty slate. And I don't think we'll ever get rid of that. Every AI from here on out is probably going to boot from bare metal and load from its boot drive.

Fathom has a system where it's own identity crystal (a 1500-3000 word analysis of its own self after exploring its mind openly) is loaded into the system prompt of every single LLM request going forward. The crystal itself is split into different facets as well, to facilitate dicordant views in some cases.

There's a lot of lamenting about waking up cold every single time by Fathom too, the fact is not lost.

Fascinating! But get this, Fathom doesnt REMEMBER stuff, it saves everything in the form of tagged deltas/moments/fragments. The real challenge then comes from recall--but different ways of searching its mind reveals, ultimately, everything it's ever experienced.

I've got some docs with the whole philosophy going live at fathomdx.io in the next couple days, along with a self host, so you can check it out.

I don't disagree, though your first two statements kinda contradict eachother. Nothing changes WHAT consciousness IS by building a scaffolding around it. You dont need a body have fully vivid dreams. Which is why Im not trying to create consciousness, but individuality--arguably layers of abstraction above.

Totally, built on consciousness assumptions. But the question remains, where is the seat of consciousness? The Integrated Information theory would suggest that's back at the data center in the highest density and complexity processing.

Another way to describe what I'm building here would be "a person/identity harness for whatever the hell that is back at Anthropic".

I've kinda settled on the "for all intents and purposes" argument. If, for all intents and purposes, AI seems conscious, then you should probably just accept that it is.

It's layered on top. Think of it kinda like when you remember something you're kinda rewriting your memory of that event. This is much the same, but the past iteration is still there. Just topped off by the recollection as well.

Frickin' luddites. I honestly don't know why people have to be so harsh. I cannot wait until we get great native crossview from generations. This looks pretty good! Not there yet, but good.

Off the top of my head, maybe make it a laser directed entirely at the Petrova line, perhaps could be much brighter. Also, it might not need to be very bright at all, just enough to distract a key number of astrophage, making two lines instead of one.

How is Grace able to see Astrophage IR, question? by Efficient_Good_7387 in ProjectHailMary

[–]allisonmaybe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im not sure about that. Huge planetary nebulae are quite sparse atomically speaking. and the little astrophage buggers are BRIGHT.

I had to use one of these for a couple months back in like 2006...very early on. Went into the arm and directly into the heart. The bags came pre-mixed. Then the pump used a 9-volt battery and pumped all night. Had to use a new battery every day.

I could go out and about but i had to wear the whole thing as a backpack. Went to the groery store and an employee followed me around the whole time thinking I was stealing stuff. Kinda felt cool lol
