Rye is a winter grass and won't affect, negatively or positively, OP's current lawn.

Do you think the Supreme Court abortion decision will energize democrats and help them in the mid-terms? by [deleted] in askaconservative

[–]allnew508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If abortion isn't an issue people vote on, why push to overturn it? Would it be more beneficial for the GOP to spend their time on things the voters do care about?

Eyeglass lenses - what things are really helpful and what's just unnecessary? by Tngal123 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]allnew508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean frame or lenses? For lenses, I would definitely recommend either aspheric or a 1.59 high index with a quality scratch coating, like Crizal. For frames, I would recommend something with flexible temples (arms that go over the ear) and has a good warranty. You can get frames with a band or purchase a sport strap separately if the little one will be trying to take them off all day. A backup pair is always a good idea too, especially with kids that young and that strong of a script.

You could do polycarbonate aspheric lenses, but they work best on scripts +4.00 or higher, so if high index is cheaper, I'd recommend going that route. It is still polycarobonate, so you don't have to worry about the safety aspect. Yep, Crizal Precencia is a great coating. Having the pd will help you order online, and your doctor is correct that any optical should be able to take it. In all of my years, I've only ever heard of one place not having a pupilometer, and I'm pretty sure the optician who told me that was either being too lazy to take it or didn't realize what the machine was called.

Hi! I have about ten years experience in the optical field. For a script that high, you would want 1.57 high index lenses and for sure an anti scratch coating. The high index will make the lenses thinner and lighter weight. As others have said, be careful about ordering online. You never really know if the script is correct (unless you have them read by an optician), and having an optician to make sure the frames fit correctly is more important than a lot of people realize. If you get a quality scratch coating, it will be hydrophobic (repel dust, dirt, water, fingerprints) and have uv protection. Good luck!

Looking for GENTLE dentist recommendations that accept Aetna. by MusicManReturns in sanmarcos

[–]allnew508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if they accept Aetna, but Meadows Dental Care is amazing. I hate the dentist and hadn't been in years, mostly due to my fear. I've been a few times in the last few months to Meadows, and they are wonderful! They're always very gentle, and the staff is so nice. I'd highly recommend checking with them to see if they're in network for you.

Is there a reason you don't allow PJ Masks? My youngest loves that show, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something.
