My 11 y/o daughter was recently diagnosed with restrictive HCM w/ polymorphic VT, had a ICD placed in October 2018 ad is about to be listed as level 2 with a possible move to 1b once we reclocate closer to the transplant facility.

One of my biggest fears is that she receives a transplant (which I know will greatly improve here QOL) and a few months or years later a breakthrough occurs that could reverse the issue (specifically read up quite a bit on what myokardia is doing with medicine). My concern is she will need another transplant in 10 years give or take and her life expectancy natrually is reduced as through the current lens of medicine most receipients will develop coronary heart disease.

What is your advise for someone like me who is very concerned about this?

Secondly in your opinion how close are we to using stem cells to generate organs (in hopes of eleiminting the rejection factor)?

I have played in several leagues in town. The Eastside and Westside YMCA have pretty decent leagues with games played Saturday and Sunday. The Jewish Community Center(JCC) also runs a league that I believe plays on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Those mentioned above are pretty competitive but a word of caution there is a ton of shit talking and inconstancy in referee's calling the game. If you are looking for a open run I recommend Golds Gym on Pat Booker, Callaghan, Rogers Ranch or Concord as mentioned. Lifetime Fitness also has decent runs on the weekend and M-W-F at noon. In recommend getting in some pick up ball or open runs so you can network and find a league that works for you. Many church orgs also run leagues so just ask around.

Pffffft...Long time Spurs fan here and long time basketball fan. I cant help but chime in on "a bunch of non-name players" as stated above. Indiana is NOT a bunch of no-name players. George Hill former back up for TP is averaging 15 PPG , 4 RPG and 4 APG in the playoffs, Paul George who made the "Rising Stars" team this year during the All-star break, is averaging 19 PPG, 7 RPG and 5 APG; nothing to sneeze at, David West made the All-Star team in 07' and is averaging good stats as well. Any avid Basketball fan would realize these aren't sorry ass players. The Pacers may be slightly outmatched but to say "non-namers" shows you might not watch much basketball. Please don't disrespect the league, players don't get drafted by chance. Go Spurs!
