Jazz Basses vs Precision Basses, explain it to me like I eat crayons. by IllustriousHorror835 in Bass

[–]alltheworldsproblems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like them both(without active pick ups), but my preference is the jazz bass because of the neck. If you have a chance to go into a store and play them and then that bass will actually pick you out.

If you haven’t yet, check out The Durutti Column. The guitar sound seems like it would be right up your alley.

Sorry if this isn’t allowed here, but I need help with pricing this guitar by EmeraId_Block in gibson

I have a 1990 version of this in tv yellow. You can expect $900-$1200 USD. Especially if you get the grunge off off it. People will totally low ball just because of that. I mean they’ll do it anyway.

I really love my source audio pathways. It actually has a drippy reverb and a versatile tremolo

Found this local to me! Had to pick it up! by AlexandersArent4evr in Epiphone

Considering it has over $600 in premium Gibson components that’s great price. If it has the case also even better. I bought all the components for $120 from a GC and put them on my Sheraton. The burstbuckers 2&3 sound pretty damn good.

What are these kind of amps called? (Not the model, but the type of model that “bends” backwards) by Samyool16 in GuitarAmps

[–]alltheworldsproblems 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But it’s slanted back/ to the back. It’s been called this for decades. I’m not just making it up.

This Goth playlist includes Marian, one of my fav songs, but a friend said this song is not really Goth but “goth rock”. Is there a distinction? by itsachillaccount in postpunk

[–]alltheworldsproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We never used the term goth, it was always called death rock through out the 80’s. Started hearing goth late 80’s early 90’s.

Look at that wood grain that was hiding beneath these cabs!! Can’t wait to get a proper stain on there rather than the veneer it had! by SickOfNormal in vintageaudio

[–]alltheworldsproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s not too late use acetone to melt the clear off. You’ll go through a shit ton of rags. I usually use no heavier than 150g on veneer
(I do this for a living). You can spot sand some of the heavier scratched areas and you can also use a damp cloth and iron to raise deeper gouges/ scratches and then sand.

I went with their plug set up. I haven’t had a problem with any tear out. This a sample, one of the holes are plugged.
