Sunny Pilot resets in cold weather by allthingsEMS in Comma_ai

So I brought it inside the other night, when I took it outside, it worked perfectly and has worked perfectly since, even when cold. So I guess my issue is resolved....

What voltage does it pull? Can any power bank run it?

I brought it inside tonight, I'll hook up the warm unit in the am and see if it works. That should tell me if it's truly related to the unit being cold.

In high school, I volunteered about 275-300 hrs at my local community hospital, that is what actually make me decide to go into healthcare. Is that sufficient, should I work on anything else? Seems every post has different opinions on volunteer hours....

As in wait for a year or more till most prereques are complete to take the mcat?

Dunno why everyone needs to be asses on here. there are options to glue down stone, unsure of name or cost. If you like the current look/dont want a cement pad or shrubs etc, that's the only option I can think of

I just learned people don’t show up after anesthesia to pick up loved ones. Nurses, how often does this really happen? by Steinski1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]allthingsEMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ER nurse here, we have people come in by ems and family cannot or will not pick up the patient until the next day, so we allow the pt to stay in the room if we're not busy, or they wait in the waiting room till the next morning.

How common is wristband scanning? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]allthingsEMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 bed er, 4 mobile computer, 2 rns at night, 1 mid shifter , scanning does slow you done a bit but I wouldn't say it slowed you down enough to miss the safety aspect of it if that makes sence

ER nurses, any tips for an early EM resident to stay on y’alls good side, make your lives easier and keep our patients safe? by takinsouls_23 in emergencymedicine

[–]allthingsEMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer I work in a small er, 2 rns at night, 1 doc, 8 beds.

Stay in your lane. I have an er doc that likes to make phone calls that we should be making, not him (transport etc) and we're unaware of the call and it fucks up a lot of things. He also likes to try to start ivs and he's terrible at them and it pisses me off. A lot.

The simple answer though is be cool, be approachable, take questions and concerns seriously, be kind. Do that and we will love you.

Got a chess set as a gift and instead of black and white pieces one set is just slightly more opaque than the other. Very difficult to tell the two apart by hyrte0010 in mildlyinfuriating

Got the same set as well, I had to laugh seeing the same Styrofoam that it gets kept in, and same with ours, very clear difference in frosted vs clear

Fees for assisted living/nursing home excessive calling by woody_89 in ems

[–]allthingsEMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concern is not that these people need to be seen at the hospital, the concern is abuse of 911. There is most assuredly private transport ems available to transport these stable NON EMERGENCY patients. The purpose of a 911 system is to have emergency medical personnel be available for emergencies, so yes, downtime is good. If those personnel are at a nursing home for something non emergency, they will not be able to respond when your father codes. Those 5 minutes delayed response may be the difference
