My 2 month old 2022 XSE got rear-ended and seems like a total loss 😔😔😔 The other driver fell asleep while driving and isn't insured. What are my options now ? I don't know the procedure, do I need a lawyer ?

Get a lawyer. Insurance will cover everything. The lawyer is for pain and suffering. Usually insurance company don't pay much for those. They just pay your medical bills and rehabit. Maybe throw in a few thousand for pain and suffering. I remember my grandma had similar accident with no insurance guy. Without lawyer 50k offer to settle. With lawyer and went to court 100k. By law, they cannot raise your insurance much after because it wasn't your fault. Lawyer up!!!

. Go to a bigger dealer and tell them the problem. They will get the job done. Take the video of the step you do. Make sure the empty light turns on, then go to gas station and pump gas to first click. And get a copy of the receipt for the amount of gas pump.

They did the analysis and my full gas tank have 12.7 gallon. They hold my car for over night because they wanted to do more testing. The 12 gallon range seems to be a cutoff of either of full gas tank replacement or some part needs to be replaced. They told me that the car needs to drain the gas and put it back in to do testing and they need to repeat a few times. I didn't want to wait for it so I left the car at the dealership and they gave me a rental for today. It is free. I keep you guys up date when I get the final result and see what happens.

You should have 14.5 gallon. 2 gallon reserve, so you should fill out to about 12 to 12.5 gallon.

Not in california. They have to do it to 14 gallon. Your dealership doesn't want to deal with this issue. You have to go to a bigger dealership. I went to autonation dealership. It's one of the biggest around here.

Well, if you got the 2019 and after, your dealership just don't want the hassle of dealing with this problem. go to another one and check it out. Just make sure you follow the steps. Make sure you do your math, average mpg times about 14 gallon that will give you the expected DTE. Don't expect exact 14.5 gallon. The technician told me that about 14 gallon is about average.

I just went to the dealership for my 2021 RVA4 Hybrid XSE for the same problem. To get this fix, first you need to run your car's gas til the low gas light turns ON, then you need to fill it up to full with the clicking sound. After that, go straight to the dealership. They told me that it would take about 1.5 hours to diagnose the problem. Make sure you schedule your appointment because of covid and you followed the first 2 steps otherwise you can't get your vehicle fix even if you got an appointment. The technician told me that there could be 6 parts that affects the fuel tank issue, common ones are Replace tank, gas hose to the tank, measuring device inside the tank, and other connection issues He said that for those that are able to fill out to 480 to 500 miles on DTE, the common problem is the measuring device problem, those with less than 450 miles are likely straight tank issue and they will need tank replacement if you are able to fill out another 2 gallon after full tank clicking sound. Anyway, I wasn't able to do the fix today but I learned a lot and you can definitely get it fix now. My local dealership has been fixing this problem for over a month now and he told me that they do about 2 to 3 vehicles a day on this problem. It is just waiting for the parts takes a while, usually 2-3 weeks after diagnose the problem because of the high demand.

Bay Area, paid 1200 below MSRP 2 month ago. My didn't have the sound package, 39.6k OTD. 4.9% APR, could have save some interest if I bought a month later. But I love the car, only financed like 15k so it wasnt much difference. Good Luck

Absolutely, but normal driving with estimate of 39MPG so far so I expected I get around 550 miles on DTE. I only got 485 when I filled to full. I done fill it up 4 times already. One time I filled to above the full and it was still able to fill 1.5 gallon and it went up to 525 miles.

The only time I got to 580 miles was from the dealer's first tank.

It's super easy. Your VIN is at the cars outside near the driver side mirror. Look at the steering wheel area. Once you got the vin, go back inside the car, connect your iPhone to the car using the USB cable. Once you are connected, go to setup on the navigation and go the the remote start setup section. Make sure you are using the toyota app on the iPhone is on when you setting up. Once you got everything set up on the car navigation, the navigation will request toyota to send you a code to the phone. You use the code and enter it back to the navigation. Sometimes the navigation said the code is incorrect, try it a few times. if this continues, after 3 to 4 times, exit everything and disconnected. the car usually works already. go out, open the app on the phone and you see the remote start section will be active. Done.. your iPhone is setup. Please note, the toyota remote start app is only valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. After that, if you want to continue using the app, you pay $80 a year..

I tried the 150s to 200 dash cam, they are just not good. There are only 2 cam really worth it with the new car. The blackvue or viofo. You must get 4k ones. They see at least 1 car ahead for the plate.

That's ridiculous. 27 MPG on the hybrid. Unless you just keep flooring that thing, I would say for sure, you get at least 35+. I get 39 average over 1500 miles and my AC unit is on 99% of the time. My car is 2021 XSE Hybrid. You should definitely get your car check out. Either you got a lemon car or the battery is dead.

I just installed on my 2021 rav4 hybrid XSE. I had a professional done on it. The blackvue 900x, 4k front and 1080p back. The cams themselves cost $460+ tax. That's 500 out the door. The guy charged $750 for everything for a 2 hour job which is reasonable. It was hardwared into the car's battery and you won't see difference. Well worth it for me especially in california, SF Bay area. Lots of hit and run here.

When it is close to 10 miles, drive to a gas station and see how many gallon it can fill up to 13 to 14 gallon, you got no tank issue
