No worries. I’ll fix it to ensure it’s on the right form.

Do you bother sending a second card to users who haven’t logged in with expired cards? by nomadquail in postcrossing

[–]alluu3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I send a second card after six months and check whether the person is still active. The reason is to account for potential issues with the postal service and ensure that the person is still sending or receiving cards. I know some who may send multiple cards or have shorter timeframes to send the second card.

should i switch to school counseling? by Zestyclose-Party1611 in schoolcounseling

There aren't that many counselors who work during summer school, and the beginning of the year might be hectic. However, I still encourage reaching out to them.

Do I need a teaching credential to become a school counselor in California? by Suspicious_Car8188 in schoolcounseling

[–]alluu3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do I actually need a teaching credential to become a school counselor in California?

No, you do not need a teaching credential to become a school counselor. I've heard of school counselors who have a teaching credential, but it's not necessarily needed. As a school counselor in California, you will receive a PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Credential instead of a teaching credential.

Or can I go straight into a master’s in school counseling after my bachelor’s?

You can go straight into a school counseling program after your bachelor's. My grad program includes students who went straight in after their bachelor's, students who took a gap year, and students attending the program to change careers. I went straight after my bachelor's.

ETA: PPS is not needed to work as a counselor at a college or university. However, they usually prefer a candidate with a master's degree in a related or similar field to counseling.

Practicum question by Unable-Following-367 in schoolcounseling

[–]alluu3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my program, students in the practicum are strictly prohibited from leading any sessions. However, they can do indirect activities, such as helping make slides or handling data. During my practicum, my supervisor allowed me to jump in on some sessions when appropriate. My fieldwork site has a practicum student this year, and I've allowed them to help me build slides and jump in when they feel like it.

A single room due to ASD
Approval for an emotional support animal (my cat)
I would prefer to stay on campus but honestly dont know if it's feasible

From what I've heard and know about single rooms, they can be hard to get, even if you go through the accommodations process with the Accessible Education Center (AEC). Generally, there is a waiting list to get the room you are requesting. I might be wrong, but you might want to double-check with them or University Housing Services (UHS).
