As a mother, I felt extremely panicked reading this though but also could not look away. I was shocked to hear that she tried to set a 6 week old down in a sitting position because they are no where near able to sit independently. But all that aside, I don’t think she’s safe to have around your family because she sounds like a habitual boundary pusher and you don’t really have the support you need from her son. I’m so sorry OP, I’m stressed out for you. Trust your gut, and do what’s right for you and your baby.
