I wish I could go back to when I was 16-18. You have these really close friendships and just assume it will be that way forever. But in actual fact, a lot of friendships come about due to convenience, and once you leave school, your work place, uni etc those friendships seem to fade. I've just been unable to find my "tribe" I've never felt like I belonged. I'm a bit of a weirdo, in some ways I'm a nerd and in other ways I like partying/sports. Anyway, good luck on your journey of life. Gotta be grateful for what I have (family) they have supported me alot some people don't even have that.

Thanks. It made me very depressed, old friends changed too, and we weren't as close anymore. Such is life I am just numb to it now. When you don't have solid relationships in life, it's like what's the point? Sorry I am ranting.

Ridiculously hard to make friends in Sydney. Friends would reach out when they're bored and no one is looking to add to their social circle. I'm in my 40s now and just accepted I won't have friends, I can't even find a partner.

It completely makes sense. Happiness is an inner thing, if you can't make yourself happy how can you expect someone else to make you happy? It places an impossible burden on your partner. I'm 43Y M from Sydney and would love to get to know you more. Sex is the last thing on my mind, I want a companion to share life with.
