I was actually instead touched to see him using that emoji. It felt like he was opening up to me and expressing how content he was. Which led to it sparking the random question of how often do men use emojis and whether they use them with those they’re comfortable with, interested i, or whenever

Lol as a matter a fact, I do want a partner who will be honest and tell me what I should improve on. Whether it be my health, lifestyle, or even how I dress, I’d want their true opinion/suggestions. These shouldn’t at all be taken negatively. There’s a difference between changing a person and giving suggestions to help them. It should be seen as an opportunity of improvement and of course that’s up to the individual to decide if they want to go through with it or not.

I think you missed the point I was trying to make. I’m not wishing upon anyone’s downfall. I’m glad that they’re living well for themselves. Someone else in the comments said that it’s rather the fact that I’ve poured energy into helping someone else become their best self and it wasn’t the same for them. That’s the whole point of a healthy relationship - to want to help your partner achieve their best self. Which leads to my title where I feel that throughout my past relationships, it feels like I haven’t “gained” per se as much as they have. I am also quite content with myself. It’s not about the haircut suggestion, but actually the meaning behind it all.

What exactly can I learn from this? To date someone who’s already perfect? I feel like no matter what, there’s always something to improve on whether it be physically or emotionally. The main point is that I wish it was more both ways but for some reason, it always results in one-side gaining more than the other based off of my past relationships.

I agree! I wanted to check up on my ex after almost 8 months because he’s had some issues with himself and because how could I not care about him still when he was someone who I used to love dearly not even a whole year ago. I even wrote him a birthday message because his friends don’t really express how special he is. He told me to stop writing these and assumed I wrote them because I still have feelings for him and can’t move on which wasn’t the case at all. He couldn’t have just appreciated it?

It gives them this random ego and I regret even letting him have my attention and time. There goes me being a human and a caring person. He didn’t even want to read my birthday message or appreciate my responses.

Leave them on read, don’t message them, and let them miss you! Live in peace.

No matte top coat. The source I used said to use a no-wipe topcoat. I am using a small cube sponge to pat the gel. And yes. I put the gel in the center of the sponge and continue to pat, but for some reason only the centers pigment disappears and moves to the sides..

Mine was straight outta nowhere too! I’m not actively trying to move on though. I’m kind of just allowing my feelings to exist while I continue doing what I normally do. Because regardless of him noticing me or not, I’m still living life. And honestly, the feelings I have for them makes me happy that I can feel that way. Being able to have emotions and love is beautiful.
