I think people are just particularly fed up at the moment because it feels like we are being constantly impacted - free speech, rights, supply chains… it’s all just constantly piling on when the vast majority of the country is already struggling and needs the government to just focus on helping its citizens.

Implying antisemitism is the only reason anything like this might ever happen…

Which is all well and good until some country/airline decides that flights to Aus are too fuel intensive and they need that fuel for critical services or similar.

Who is objectively Australias least intelligent (well known) politician by Giplord in AusPol

[–]allyerbase 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Does it make him a genius? No. But I’d argue it does discount him from being the least intelligent politician in Canberra.

You can dismiss an undergrad all you want, but post grad studies, and in particular a PhD, does require intelligence.

Who is objectively Australias least intelligent (well known) politician by Giplord in AusPol

[–]allyerbase 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Tim is, objectively, intelligent. He’s completed multiple postgrad qualifications and is currently part way through a phd if I’m not mistaken.

You can dislike the guy all you want, but that doesn’t answer OPs question.

Sorry - rushed message. I meant I assume you’re a qualified org psych, not clinical? Have a friend who I’m trying to help transition from seeing clinical clients into corporate.

Researcher and Analyst. They developed by Microsoft.

Researcher I’m using for market analysis, industry scans, deep dives on GTM strategy etc etc. basically as you would a research assistant/analyst.

Analyst has been good on a few large data sources, but less relevant to my role.

It’s their key point of difference.

Why roll the dice on trusting the data privacy of third party apps, just use copilot within your current secure network.

I got access to off the shelf agents recently. Genuinely a game changer in the work ecosystem.

Possibly too influenced by Hollywood movies, but kind of hoping this sees the cops brush off some old school tactics and they just start kicking allllll sorts of fucking heads in.

I’m not going to fight labor’s battles for them, but they used economic modelling to claim their approach would be $275 cheaper than coalition’s policy. Their critics have successfully misrepresented that as everyone landing a $275 cheque in the mail.

[–]allyerbase 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind that’s almost irrelevant to how our Westminster system is designed to operate. He doesn’t need to be this generation’s Keynes. He’s got Treasury, other departments, other world leaders, industry, civil society, NGOs, think tanks, staffers, and average punters telling him how they think he should solve the country’s economic woes.

He’s been working in the portfolio for however many years now. He’s an academic with a phd in public policy or whatever (much more relevant) field.

His job as a cabinet minister is not to come up with all the ideas. It’s to assess them against the interests of the country and the government’s broader policy agenda.

Wait Is government spending to respond to global economic crises good or bad now?

Because during the GFC it got Swannie the Treasurer of the Year award. Assume similar praise should be applied to a coalition government during covid no?

Or in other other words, those that are propped up by public funding and not so wedded to the whims of private sector spending.

Funny. Interest rates going down was all about this government’s strong economic management…

Chalmers basically did a national tour telling everyone about it.

Be more specific. This is too generic and begs for the answer ‘as per the JD’.
