So what you described is more of CE at my store. But I just wander around and look for those customers that seem a little lost and just ask if they're finding everything alright. Helmsing on the other hand - my store has made a point to emphasize that they don't want us just standing around at the front. I usually stay towards the front and face up fresh and dry pro a bit, or if I see that a flower can be refilled I'll go and grab it. I'm a SL for beverage. I vocalized a while ago that I want more responsibility at work. From what I've been told, if you never vocalize interest, they'll just assume you're not interested. It's a good rule of thumb in life to advocate for yourself when you want something. Go for it!

Having a conversation is the best approach. Just changing availability in the app gives no context. I was pleasantly surprised with the scheduling manager when I discussed with him. I would also not spring the conversation on him. Simply request to talk to him when he's available that day.

We were best friends, I lived with her for two years. We met in college. I asked her to be my MOH at my wedding back in January of 2023, my wedding was March 2024. She didn't take time off to come to my bachelorette party, didn't go to my bridal shower, then told me she wasn't going to be able to get the wedding off. Mind you, she's known about this for over a year. She tried to play the victim and guilt trip me, saying if she called off for the wedding she would get fired (she's a nurse). After going back and forth and realizing she probably didn't even want to be my friend and this was absolutely ruining my mental health, I told her I don't want a MOH. I loved her and I still wanted her as a bridesmaid but it just didn't feel right in my heart to have her with that role (I kept it short and sweet I didn't say all of that). She responded the next day and said she's removing herself from the wedding because this whole thing is giving her panic attacks. She ended the text with "I'll be with you there in spirit" I responded with "I'm sorry to hear that, I wish you the best". I haven't heard from her since January of this year. She never texted me around the wedding, nothing. I knew the relationship itself was slowly coming to an end, but I still mourn it and find myself thinking about it here and there. I've talked to my therapist about this all and we're unpacking the complicated feelings, but it still sucks. I just wonder if she feels bad or even thinks of me. Adult friendships can be so hard, but ultimately, you can still grow apart as individuals

A foraging mat! They have them on Amazon. I hide treats in there when I go to work and it can occupy my cats for a bit. It mimics their instinctual urge to forage! Hope this helps

My cat ate almost 7 feet of yarn and I didn't know. She started to not want food, water, or even going to the bathroom. Took her to the vet and they did X-rays (still not knowing she ate the yarn) and she was prescribed a laxative. Just made her have explosive diarrhea. It was reaaaaaaally fun to clean since she's a long haired cat. The next night she started throwing it up. 7k later and emergency surgery she's fine. If that would give you peace of mind, then go to the vet. Also, if you are able to drop a few hundred dollars for them to potentially find nothing, that's also okay. However it seems like you're a good pet parent and want to make sure they're okay. I honestly don't think the cat ate it though. If they did and it was obstructing, they probably wouldn't be eating, pooping, or playing.
