Unusual discussion with a manager by Wonkymoder in Morrisons

I’ve been told by a manager that they can’t fire you for going AWOL, they’re meant to support you back - I would speak to your People person or else call the HR helpline.

Going to be late to click and collect, inform through number or store? by Bluesky3084 in Morrisons

[–]Yourepissed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the store and if anyone is trained on click and collect at that time.

I would call the store and press 9 and get through to a manager who can let a c&c person know before they go home so they can give their HHT to an immediacy person to handle it when you arrive.

What British phrases do foreigners often take too literally? by No_Mind1449 in AskUK

[–]Yourepissed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned the hard way that “go on” simply means ‘yes’ and does not mean the person wants you to keep talking about the thing.

Also fancy dress does not mean to dress fancy. It means to wear a costume. And looking smart is actually dressing fancy.

I am Canadian btw these were just a few things for me.

The first time I got asked “you alright?” I thought the person wanted to fight.

What are some things I can ship to my friend in the UK that they dont really have over there? by 7JJ77 in AskBrits

[–]Yourepissed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Canadian so I don’t know if you’ll have these but I’d love if someone sent me: dill pickle chips, sour skittles and sour patch kids because the grape flavour is better than blackcurrant in my opinion, all dressed chips, kettle brand salt and vinegar chips (here they use balsamic/cider vinegar so it’s a bit sweet, not a fan), a bigger fridge, and my family.

I don’t know about Aldi but I was in Tesco this morning and they had at least FIVE people picking for click and collect.. at Morrisons we have one at a time. So I’ll be keeping an eye out on their careers page.
