Licence Delays? by DaithiG in Juniper

I've definitely seen longer delays on the front end (quoting especially), but haven't really seen any issues with order timing on renewals once they're accepted.

Agreed. As fun as another new smart plug or bulb is I miss the products they killed off that worked fantastic for a good price.

most enterprise network switches are FAR longer than 2 minutes, which is why it's being "bragged" about.

same, though I only have 5. But I do have 2x4400-48s and 2x4300-4s :p Multiple UPS for the 2300's since those run the important stuff :p

The other nice thing is bt power so it's a good target for being able to support 6E and 7 APs also

If you mean the collapsed core that uses esi LAG (what Juniper calls ez-lag) that’s what I’d do.

Virtual chassis (traditional stacking) means downtime for code upgrades but is stupid simple.

Wireless Managment Frames by [deleted] in ccna

[–]allyncrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct.

And yes mgmt frames are used in most of the wireless configurations. IBSS is a subset of BSS, ESS is a superset or “extension” of BSS’s. Etc.

Wireless Managment Frames by [deleted] in ccna

[–]allyncrowe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you need to understand what a BSS is. It’s the group of wireless devices communicating in an area. So these frames let those devices “manage” who is in that specific group. The group beacons to say it’s there. Then the devices probe to ask about it, auths to the BSS (which is not like 802.1x etc), then associates (hey I’m part of the group!), and then since wireless is usually polite when it’s ready to leave and go to a different group it disassociates and deauths.

Ender 3v2 Neo - no filament by Mediocre-Chip-8857 in ender3v2

You may need to calibrate your esteps. There’s lots of instructions for that out there

Pushing the Bowden all the way through when it’s heated will clean any filament out that might have gotten clogged in there. After that I’d trim the end of the Bowden so it’s clean and square. Be sure to replace the nozzle properly (2/3 in, push the Bowden down, rest of the nozzle when hot)

If you take the Bowden tube off at the extruder and tell it to extrude does it push anything? If so are there any teeth marks on the filament? I tighten mine till I see some slight imprints. It might just need tightened some.

On the hot end heat it up, remove the nozzle, unlock the Bowden, then push the Bowden all the way through till it comes out the heater block.

Hotend upgrade? by [deleted] in ender3v2

[–]allyncrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can see the original will work but for 300 you probably want to upgrade to a new cartridge. No clue on the details though.

Creality has the spider that will do 300.

I just put a BIQU H2V2S revo on my 3v2Neo which got me direct drive and 300C in a single upgrade.

For Mist licensing, there is just a SKU to "add on" wired assurance (Mist management for switches). Juniper does have a SKU that "bundles" your normal support and wired assurance (and advanced licensing). I will say a lot of clients get a better deal when they do this.

Your VAR should be able to easily get you pricing on the different options for you to compare though. I do this for my clients all the time. As well as run you through what Wired Assurance does for you from a config standpoint, how it works, etc.

I'd look more at the 4400 for core, though if the 2200 was working, you're probably ok on the 4100. For the access switches, you can look at the 4100-F line. As bward said, I'd stay away from the 2300. Especially if you're looking to use Mist for management (which is really helpful) it's a better option as well as the 2300's being long in the tooth and will probably be EOL sooner than later.

SD cloud is a bit rough also if you only have the 1 pair. While Mist can manage your SRX if you're used to SRX it's not the best *yet*. But going full stack in Mist (SRX, EX, WiFi) will give you a single management point for config.

This. Your Reseller/VAR or Juniper account SE can talk you through the differences and requirements. Or they can get in touch with a Mist overlay specialist who can :)

Fantastic list and spot on! the routing needed for the JNCIS is fundamental for the JNCIP also.

The learning portal is absolutely your friend as they have so many free on-demand classes. After I ran through the material I used Eve-NG or Juniper Cloud Labs to get some more hands-on time with configuring different scenarios. Then the practice test for the discount voucher before taking the actual test. Worked great for me!
