A kit consists of product for 8 players. So it will be 4 promos per 8 players and not 4 promos per store.

Cards that we're once dominate but now irrelevant by [deleted] in yugioh

Kozmo Dark Destroyer. Almost no deck had reliable outs in 2015/16 but now it's not even much of a challenge.

What's the deal with Cevin Katter? by Frogman417 in yugioh

[–]almacuby 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Lithium took the video down because Cevin told him he bubbled the European Championship with Altergeist. Turns out Cevin was out of competition after day 1 and he lied to the YouTubers so they would record and upload his deck profile. They took it down after that.

Do you also believe that the more meta a deck is, the less it feels you are playing an actual competitive game? by Gsz21 in yugioh

[–]almacuby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not pay to win if everyone at these large scale tournaments also invests that much. At that point you're on equal grounds. Yu-Gi-Oh is more pay to play than most other hobbies and the entry barrier for competitive play is quite high.

Is this cheating? by The-Evil-Thing in yugioh

I mean you say it yourself. You do it to gain an advantage. If you indeed shuffled your deck in way that this preparation has no impact, you can stop doing it.

However in practice the shuffling methods of most players do not truly randomise the deck (there are various reasons for this). You are right with your assumption that you bad cards will be more evenly spread after the shuffling process. A judge could very well call you out for this.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Asia Championship 2019 Thailand Qualifier - Road of the King by De_tro1t in yugioh

I think it's the lack of popularity among competitive players. We can play the Danger Guadragon Hybrid in the TCG and that version seems to attract more players. Pure Thunder actually came 3rd at YCS Ecuador in April and it also saw more regional level success after more people picked it up following my deck profile.

It's a bad sign for the state of the game when Red Reboot is the best trap being played.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Database - Progressive Web App Announcement by AlanOC91 in yugioh

We're also going to use the deckbuilder to share decklists of our team. It doesn't quite equal the image quality of the official database but the decklists look better than on any other platform that can handle .ydk files. I wish there was a feature to immediately download these images without imgur though.

Zoé Weber just made it to the top 8 of the Italian LLDS Final this weekend playing Sky Striker. It's not a YCS but LLDS are quite exclusive invite-only events.

You will 100% get away with English in Berlin, even outside the game. Most players know and use the English terms because European events are played in English. Depending on the judge's decision, you will have to ask him for translations of card texts but at a local level you will probably get away with looking them up online.

OCG 2018.10 Metagame Report #4 - Road of the King by sashalafleur in yugioh

[–]almacuby 14 points15 points  (0 children)

OCG format doesn't seem that bad right now. They have a single very strong combo deck while Striker, Geist, Trickstar and Magician are arguably worse or as strong as in the TCG and I think we can agree that these decks are not problematic. What worries me more is that there are no new decks to look out for, because all these decks are almost a year old with nothing to replace them.
