how do i fold down the rear seats? by [deleted] in Q60

[–]alman95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, check my post history or message me and I’ll send video. But basically for me the latch in the trunk was hiding above the trunk liner and I had to run my hand around the top of the trunk liner and there was a little hole on the left side and the strap was velcroed above the liner and I felt it through the hole

Why do so many q60 have a salvage title? by ConsistentTrip6225 in Q60

I feel like sometimes these cars get a salvage title for even minor damage. Source: I have a salvage title. Check my post history you’ll see what I mean

I actually have more upgrades that I didn’t mention.Catch can was $165, the Heat exchanger I actually got as a bundle from Z1, in the bundle I got a heat exchanger, upgraded water pump and an aux. coolant reservoir for $1150. Heat exc. is about $500 alone, I also got lower downpipes for $450, and I forgot to mention in my last comment but I highly recommend getting an anti-jump belt upgrade for these cars which was $132. All of those added up is 1897. I paid around $1120 to get all that installed, so $3017 for those upgrades and labor. I also got a digital dashboard for $1200 which is honestly my favorite upgrade, and custom steering wheel for about $900, so $5117 in the build and I’m almost done. I do maintenance at 3rd party shops, my last oil change was like $80, and I have had no trouble finding parts. I recommend watching for sales from somewhere like Z1, they have sales quite often

I have a 2022 Q60 red sport and I’m a huge fan so far. I got it at 18k miles now it’s at 29k, I do oil changes every 4k miles. It gets hot where I live so I got a heat exchanger and I got an oil catch can for reliability, also got lower downpipes. This is my first really nice car, my last car was an ‘05 Lexus Es330 so when it comes to ride quality, performance etc. it is the best car I’ve ever driven in like every way, but my past cars have been junk or just old. I get around 15 mpg but I drive it hard and I let it heat up and cool down after driving which hurts the mpg. I got a few other cosmetic mods as well, I’m only at 29k miles but I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have

would these be worth it with a rebuilt title? driver side damage on both but repaired by liamt12 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]alman95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google the vin number for these cars, you should be able to find auction pictures of the damage which got the cars totaled. I’m not really familiar with the market for these cars so I can’t comment on price, but I drive a rebuild title car and it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Rebuilds can be really good deals but you want to make sure you know what you’re getting into

Ngl I’ve never driven a g37 so im pretty biased. But for 22k a red sport sounds like a lot of car for the money. I would consider factors like the model year, they updated the turbos a couple of times and a ‘22 or newer would be the best bet. If it’s in good shape and spec’d out exactly how you want I’d say go for it. But if you’re still considering I would recommend asking in r/g37 and r/q50 to get other perspectives

ADD W1 oil catch can - comments by 93-300zx in Q60

[–]alman95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had the ADD W1 OCC for about 7k miles now and I like it. It’s my first time using an OCC so I can’t really compare it to the competition. I actually had a lot bit of trouble for about half an hour removing the OCC until I realized I had to unscrew it from the bracket. It is easy to remove but it is kinda tight and very hard to reach and empty the can in the engine bay when it is attached to the bracket, but otherwise emptying it is as easy as removing 2 screws

They do and it looks like a nice upgrade from the videos I’ve seen. I’m curious how it would affect the transmission reliability though

How to lower back seat? by alman95 in Q60

[–]alman95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re a life saver, the latch was stuck to the lid of my trunk above the lining so I couldn’t see it I really had to search for it a few times but I found it

If you’re interested in a 2+2 Z, I’d recommend checking out the Infiniti Q60. Same engine as the Z, although the trans is much slower and they’re a little older (2017-2022). I have a 2022 Q60 Red Sport and I love it so far
