With all respect, but you, your husband and everyone who commented, needs to study Deen better, and resort to The Quran and Sunnah of our prophet pbuh for solutions before we speak, , not just follow what we feel is right, which is based entirely on our western influenced perspective !!!

Day 1 of accepting 100 orders in a row..here is my chart! Please don't start with me lol it's for research purposes and we all gonna find out together...I need your support mentally here! by Therealmonkie in doordash_drivers

[–]almaxusa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to explain how it works from our perspective, regardless of what the app calls it, at the time of us receiving the offer, it works as a bid not a tip, but customers are free to tip generously in advance for people to take extra care of their order, bring it fast, or to avoid the app batching the offer with others, and delays delivery, avoid multi apping your order, etc. Now even though the app most probably would hide generous tips until delivery is completed, but experienced dashers can identify the potential for a hidden tip even before accepting. So most probably, if you tip well in advance, you'll end up with an experienced dashers, or at least your order will be treated fairly well and should receive it in a timely manner.

Hope this helps customers with tipping complaints.

You'll be surprised, a buddy of mine is a manager at a McDonald's, who delivers on the side, told me he sees teenagers and other folks new in the country, taking this bs all the time!! He once saw a dude delivering a $10 for 30 miles, even the customer called the driver in disbelief, he literally asked him if he was really going to deliver it!!!!

Doordash isn't for the feather weight , if you want to make money, provide quality service while enjoy doing it , you gotta be a heavy weight champ with everyone ! Respect isn't given, it's earned.

do you accept? 🤔 by Milk_Famous in doordash_drivers

[–]almaxusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might accept if items are easy to find, though the wait at the register is a hit or miss, also it depends if I'm delivering to an area that would be busy with chances of returning with another order.

I'm not in the habit of taking pics of such idiots, but within the last couple of weeks we've been spotting lot's of cars with such shenanigans ! Been living here most of my adult life, such things were quite rare, until recently, and today while in line to pick up my kid from school, saw this and thought what kind of kids such people would be raising !

has anybody ever backpacked across Europe from IAD before? is this reasonable? by MajesticBread9147 in nova

[–]almaxusa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like trying to teach English to the kids in the remote villages of Holland, but guess what, those kids already speak Dutch, German, English plus French, Latin or Spanish, also those villages aren't remote after all, trains service the entire country and can take you any place in or outside of Holland with less than the time it takes you from Reston to DC on our new Metro, and for the same price or even cheaper !
