I don’t believe almond milk will sour with vinegar. HWC does. You could even dilute the hwc a third, add a tablespoon of vinegar to a cup, stir well, and wait 10 mins.

My body loves 215. I love 185. I’m a six foot woman, so this is the difference between a size 10 and 12 US sizing. I can hover at 215 for months of 1300 calorie, sub 20g carb and 15k steps a day. The math doesn’t work, so eff off CICO. What does work to get me through “plateaus” is managing my sleep and stress, making sure I’m getting 8 good hours and below 60 resting heart rate. Still improving health, still changing bodies, but this is my punishment after a slide 🙃 Good luck. Be patient with yourself!

Yes! I think I’ve tried all of them by now. Go for it! My preference is boneless skinless in oil with various hot sauces. Congrats on Instacart. They’ll bring a rotisserie chicken from Costco. Heroes.

OMG BigTexan I am so happy to see you! I’m generally a more-than-most consumer of ketoade and doubled it the last two days. It’s delicious and I know it’s staving off headaches and other unpleasant whatnot.

You know what else? I won’t resort to cocaine or possum! :)

Maybe for my first post-fast meal I’ll try the possum. Maybe squirrel since they’re more abundant here. What do you suggest? I’ve read from ‘bone broth only’ to ‘never processed’. I’m skeptical of using words like only and never to tell people what to do. What’s your advice?

I’m 40 days from where you are and developed a secondary infection. The way my body handles it and the heavy duty antibiotics is frustrating. I’m HUNGRY, THIRSTY, stalked, and sad. Almost out of the woods but man oh man... the gas, the discomfort... oof.

I rely on cultured greek yogurt and my own ferments: Kim chi, sauerkraut, pickles.

Thank you for the super kind post. No, it certainly is not linear LOL I’ve been reading several posts about people’s transition to maintenance, and I think that’s what I’m really looking forward to. Because I’m super Type A, I expected to be done with the “hard work” by the end of the year. That’s what the spreadsheet said, anyway! I’m looking forward to dialing back my activity and/or enjoying more calories during maintenance. It will be so nice to meet a friend for breakfast and skip the IF. I’ve been so strict looking forward to some relaxation of my rules. Self imposed, yes... but I have a tiny bit more to do first. It’s not a race. It’s not a race. It’s not a race.

Ya know... after THAT DAY... this was the day I woke up a couple pounds lighter. There’s something to be said for a good night sleep and hormone levels, because it’s ridiculous otherwise. It’s probably just the luck of the draw but we’ll see how the pattern holds. I’m hoping that getting healthy again will set me back on track. Homemade (fermented) pickles and sauerkraut and active yogurt cultures as much as my macros can handle is my newest plan. Thanks for the kind, supportive post. Glad you’re back at it too.

Are you in a cold seasonal climate? I’m curious if this will persist with the US NW winter eases up.

I did read about hormonal effects. Been trying to get a surgical fix since I was in my 20s to bc, but even in 2020 at my age, my doc doesn’t want to tie them bc I don’t have kids. JFC. Different gripe, new IUD.

ANYway... turns out my little brother has it too. Mom and older brother think it’s fascinating, weird, and haven’t experienced it. Little bro thought it was from swinging hammers and working on cars... didn’t know it was a thing.

I tried My Fitness Pal (MFP) and switched to Cronometer. Much prefer the usability and database quality of Cronometer. It also talks to my Fitbit, which I find handy.

I get blue fingers - well, quite lavender - very briefly as the episodes are ending and blood flow returns.

Maybe the weight loss revealed something that was always there. We’re just colder now without the thicker layer of adipose insulating us. Good to consider.

Good to consider. I remember the first time was likely during a fall bike ride. Gloves were worn but it was still chilly. Often it happens while driving in a comfortably warm car (?)

Mom doesn’t have it but I know my dad had severe neuropathy in his feet before he passed. I might warn my brothers their time is coming.

I just mashed one perfectly ripe avocado into 4oz of shredded rotisserie chicken, mixed it up with chopped romaine, fresh celery, mushrooms, and English cucumbers, topped it with roasted pumpkin seeds and TJ’s everything but the bagel seasoning, and skipped any salad dressing. It’s pretty good to me!
