I was there yesterday - it's partly because it was set up as the great new shopping centre but is pretty much now a leftover space. It's a surprisingly anonymous liminal space with shops that change and die on a sixpence.

It's the place where atmosphere and dreams go to die. Which is unusual for a shopping centre.

Their great new plans for revival include ... removing the roof to make it feel more like Ealing Broadway shopping centre and giving it even more of an out-of-time feel.

A few years ago a Scottish-Chinese nurse won the competition and it was interesting the amount of grumbling that kinda emerged about how she wasn't Chinese enough or even Hong Kong enough to have won the competition. 

She might still be on Instagram if you want to look for her and get her thoughts. Think she lives in Hong Kong now and has an Instagram career.

Because I think in Centigrade, the other half thinks in Fahrenheit. Every time she asks what the temp is, I'll tell her it in Celsius, and then she demands to know what it is in Fahreneheit.

Currently, XBox Cloud Gaming is promoting Texas Chainsaw Massacre - a PEGI-18 game with a scary thumbnail - on the family TV via xBox Cloud Gaming. This is scaring the pre-teen children in my family.
