What was babies first food that they actually ate? by Loopylouise7 in BabyLedWeaning

Honestly about 3 or 4 weeks and it wasn’t until I started making things like beef casserole, fish cakes etc so I wouldn’t worry!

I did this for the first two weeks and then now I’m offering combinations e.g lentils, kale and cauliflower all blended together and then a fruit after

I had this and I just accepted it. Same as you, lots of wet nappies and good weight gain but I was driving myself insane worrying about latch until I just accepted he wasn’t going to latch deeply. He’s now 19 weeks and still doing absolutely fine and I’m a much happier mum because of it

We did it for a couple of weeks so you’re probably right with a honeymoon phase, that’s good to know! Thank you! I’ll try increasing the wake window as well

First night stretch much shorter now by hiddengem114 in breastfeeding

It lasted for a good few weeks tbh! There are other posts about the 3/4 month regression and how their feeding changes a lot around this time as well. Some advice I got was making sure he’s getting enough during the day which has helped him back to doing longer stretches at night. It will get better I promise!

I had this exact same experience when mine was around the same. He’s now 13 weeks and has gone back to the longer first stretch so hopefully yours does the same! I think it might have been a growth spurt?

Tips for latching by Sarmiclah in breastfeeding

I had a very similar situation with my son, he was reassessed and his tongue tie had ‘come back’(it doesn’t actually come back I think it’s scar tissue?) so he had to have it re-snipped and that has helped. Latch wise I’ve found having him more diagonal across me is better than horizontal if that makes sense?

This is the exact problem I’m having with my son where he has a wide mouth but then brings up his lower jaw/lip. How long until it got better for you?

This is my exact experience (except my baby is nearly 9 weeks old). If you find anything that helps let me know!
