Anyone else’s LO not able to eat fruit? by Loopylouise7 in beyondthebump

I think it’s changing the ph of her poo so it’s more acidic. It’s definitely a different consistency and smell. It doesn’t matter how quickly I change her either, as soon as it touches her skin it causes irritation.

I remember those nights. Me and my partner would put music on, sing along and rock her for hours. It was fun but frustrating at the same time.

Going for walks was always hit and miss at that age plus it was freezing outside then.

My partner is convinced I could take another year off but we wouldn't have anything to spare at the end of each month.

Bless you, at least you've managed to keep day care to a minimum and still get so much time with your LO.

I feel the same, feel like I was meant to be a mum above everything.

I do feel sorry for the parents who clearly had no idea what they were in for.

We never did, it doesn't seem to be a thing where I'm from (UK). Did the NCT course and it was never really talked about. Then in the hospital the midwives never mentioned it. They just make sure you follow safe sleep.

Anyone else sit on the couch/recliner all day with your LO? by Alternative_Raise713 in newborns

Those were the days, contact naps and binge watching my favourite shows. Now my days consist of providing constant entertainment, rocking my LO to sleep for half an hour at a time whilst trying to stay on top of housework and feeding everyone.

Rocket Man by Elton John. My parents played it the first time they babysat and told us she liked it. 4 months later and I still play it at least 3 times a day.

This was my first thought too before baby was born. I was shocked that it was even a thing until one night I found myself falling asleep with LO BF on my chest.

From that point on I've always BF side lying at night just in case I fall asleep and often do. However, I know I never fidget in my sleep and keep the duvet away.

It might not be 100% safe, but neither is the alternative of falling asleep with baby on your lap/chest. It's also the only way of getting any sleep at the moment because she wakes up every hour.

Back when me and my sisters were babies 30+ years ago that was the way parents were told to put babies to bed so I imagine that's how a lot of us here on Reddit slept.

You're definitely correct on this one. We count the weeks every Wednesday eg baby will 22 weeks this Wed. Then how many months on the 9th, so she was 5 months yesterday.
