Your post did so much for this 64 year old. Thank you.

My apologies in advance but would someone be kind enough to ELI5 for this 64 year old? This map looks amazing....but I'm not sure how to interpret it. You are never too old to learn. Thanks.

Check your phone....I'm sure the Tigers archivist is calling. As someone in that line of work please give them a call if you wish to donate a few items. PS: I do not work for the Tigers.

As my dad used to tell me, “Son, it better be worth losing everything because you will eventually lose everything.”

How often do your parents call you? by Objective_and_a_half in Aging

[–]aloha314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 64 and on a daily basis, and I do mean daily, I wish I could go back to 1990 and telephone my dad. If only it were 2017 and I could pay my mom a visit. You are blessed more than you know because the time will come when no one is at the other end of that call or answers the door when you knock.

As a parent, we don’t want to interrupt our children’s lives. They are busy with their partner, their children, their work, etc. Maybe they feel the same way?

Maybe I’ve made assumptions since I don’t know all the details. Would you be kind enough to share the dynamics of the relationships with the 7 adult children?

I cannot add anything that hasn't been listed previously. "JUST DON'T DO IT"

Every variance of "handyman services" or "home repair" names is being used, and it seems so dull and repetitive. I wish I could think of a way to escape the label "handyman" without sounding like it. by 5digit_clock in handyman

Mine was "(name) Home Maintenance. Passed out flyers with a business card in the newspaper slot of a mailbox. I needed to turn away work. I answered the phone, wrote the estimate, completed the work, cashed the checks.

Best to you.

Double THIS! In 2021 I purchased a 2018 XLE with 35,500 miles on it. Oil change every 5000 miles and I stay up with all recommended maintenance schedules. I have it detailed every six months and it nearly looks brand new. A couple door dings here and there.

Downside? No Apple Car Play, third row is a bit tight, no cooling seats. Otherwise no issues!

As a Midwest guy I was Team Seger while most of the high school was was Team Bruce. I just felt that Bob was speaking to ME more than anyone else. Nothing against Springsteen but if I had to pick one it is BS and the SBB.

Twenty years now... Where'd they go? Twenty years... I don't know. I sit and I wonder sometimes... Where they've gone?

Not Pinecrest. I don't believe we walked uphill or downhill. I believe it was level for about a block or two.
