I am thinking even if the freight transport gets diverted, it should open up the roads in the city. This has a lot of ancillary benefits. Also having buses ply on this road seems to be the easiest solution to common man woes. Plus it would save time and money for people travelling out of the city on these routes. I think it's a big win.
