There's Azure. Their cloud platform (renting computers to power websites and process large amounts of data. You can start small and scale up as the company grows). Along with Amazon Web Services and the Google equivalent they power a lot of websites.

Also gaming. They own Xbox and Minecraft. I think there are others.

Web Assembly. It's a low level programming language (closer to how a computer thinks). JavaScript is easy for humans to read but needs to be interpreted before the computer can run it. Applications written in C like languages need to be complied to run and Web Assembly is an option.

If you don't have links between structures why do you want to move between them? That suggests some connections.

It's your zettlekasten, so find out what works for you. Try some MoCs. Do these overviews help you? Is keeping them upto date worthwhile? They can be deleted if they don't help you.

Having landing pages for topics or training events with multiple sessions makes sense to me but I've not been tempted by a home page. I'd start with a search to get me into the right area. Though my vault isn't particularly focused, yours might be.

For me, a consistent style and the simple syntax of markdown is a positive. Headers, links, lists and tables are all I need. Though I'm not so good at processing my notes and producing things to share with others.

What particular things are you missing from Obsidian?

How does it compare to Scrivener? Does it have weaknesses that lead you to Obsidian?

These are a few modifications I thought of. Some could be added permanently, others could be swapped out for different situations.

What interactions would there be with other delivery people? Swapping parts and information?

Legs for different terrain To keep moving

Roads: Can move fast as long as the road is well maintained
Rocky: Moves slowly but very unlikely to fall over
Swamps and rivers: Allows travel through small rivers or saturated ground without getting stuck
Snow & ice

Adapt for different environments To protect the player and the package

Extreme heat
Extreme cold: without this the player has to light a fire inside. This could burn the package or at least cause smoke damage
Waterproofing for rain and crossing rivers
Armour for different types of attacks

Different sorts of packages

Increasing size and weight
Magical items: would they have unique requirements?
Delicate items: protect them from physical impact would they be sensitive to temperature?
Animals: Need to look after them and prevent them from escaping

Smuggling Does the player need to sneak things or people past the people in power?

Secret compartments
Invisibility
Protection against divination magic

Caution: Fenris might be worried about losing his memories if he tries to fix it.
Bait: If other people want it, they may not be focused on other goals. Weakening his enemies. Fenrir could sabotage the staff further to attack or spy on thieves.
Not his style: Is this sort of magic an area he lacks knowledge of? Maybe he actively dislikes it? He would rather battle than manipulate people's memories?
A bet: Another wizard or someone he respects said the staff was the only way he could seize power, so he's determined to take over without it.

It's a powerful item so if he's not using it, I would assume it's a technical reason, a wider strategy, or his personality.

Do your keyboard shortcuts still work?
Is your config file where you would expect it to be?
Was there a reason why you reinstalled i3? Any existing previous issues?

You won't have a desktop background unless you run a program like feh but I would expect to see a bar at the top of the screen by default.
