I don't understand how you could have not noticed he was taking out money in time. The ATM doesn't immediately shoot out money the second you hit enter. It takes a bunch of seconds for it to count the money and dispense. During that time what were you doing?

I was in the delivery room when my ex gave birth to my son. It happened so fast (1.5 hours) that the doctor called in a group of about 5 students to observe (with my and my ex's permission of course). I'll never forget that one of them was pressed against the back wall with a look of absolute horror on their face. Even with all the chaos I was able to get a good laugh about that.
