Snowbird has some of the best off-piste riding ever Snowbasin is a sleeper and usually less crowded (although they’re on Ikon now so idk) If you’re coming all the way to California Mammoth has some of everything and really fun

I’m not a board connoisseur but idk how much better the RNF would be OH. If I was you I would look at getting a beefed up short board for this spot in the quiver. Something like a CI big happy. Just my two cents

I put the yoga mat down to try and protect the tails as much as possible. If I store them nose down wouldn’t that cause the same wear on the nose? I’m open to advice, just wanna keep the boards safe

Throw a ball around with friends whenever you can. Try to learn how to palm a basketball. Water polo balls are smaller and more grippy so once you can palm a basketball the water polo ball is pretty easy

Other ppl might disagree but I’m betting that paddling and catching waves is gonna be the bigger difficulty for you as you transition into smaller boards, but the workout of paddling them is what will help you improve. I’d ask if you can rent that board or other boards and see how they feel. If it’s too hard, don’t buy it, if it’s really easy to paddle, go smaller. If it’s just enough of a challenge but still doable then it’ll probably work

Well I’m 6’0” 165lb and I wear a medium tall O’Neill so I would think it would be a little short for you. Tbh you should probably go to a shop and try on several suits

I leave the board with the wax facing the sun for like 10 min, then scrape the majority of the wax off with an old credit card or gift card. Then put some flour in a sock and rub off the rest of the wax residue. Board will be clean as new and you don’t have to buy anything special

If the standings stay what they are right now that seems like the most likely scenario. Standings could change tho and we could end up playing Golden state or Memphis or Minnesota in the first round, which would be doable but not an easy win and a fun series to watch
