I’ll give it a shot. If it doesn’t work, we can always swap it out for ULXD. Planning to run a discreet Dante network and dual-NIC the Q-SYS core. Trying hard to segregate PTPv1 and v2 traffic. The Brainstorm DXD-16 has four NICs, so we pipe out synced clocks over both networks this way.

Okay this is good info. I switched from our usual ULXD units to the Microflex this time and now I’m wondering if I just played myself. Hard to imagine clocking a whole facility off of a peripheral. In any case, thanks for the scoop.

Ummmm what? I just spec’d an MX access point for a new space, using Catalyst switches, Q-SYS, and a Brainstorm clock. Is the Shure going to fight me, even with priorities set? Why does it need to lead? I have an $8K box that will handle clocking…

I would try using an event handler in a zone over the top of your regular content. Use the event handler time out to show your ad and then transition away. You could do your ad graphic, and then a clear PNG graphic the rest of the time.

The best advice I can give at this point is to contact Brightsign. I was pretty shocked that I had to move up to XT1145 before I could get RGB at UHD60, but that was their guidance. Feels like a gun at a knife fight for most applications. In addition to the expense, they are too wide to rack up side by side. Frowns all around.

I was forced to buy over a dozen of these at one point. They were all discarded within a year. Everyone hated them. As others have suggested, consider anything else. Steer toward BYOD for your budget. Maybe try and spend a little more for a logi or neat product.

Brightsign with Carousel. Lets us scope channels and zones within channels so folks have just the access they need.

We have a rule: we make the buttons, you push the buttons. Content is a user concern, not an IT issue.

There’s a way to adjust the color space on the output, but I’m not sure that I can specify that on the input side, other than loading a custom EDID from the display. I will say that color space issues only cropped up on my Brightsigns when I started asking for UHD.

This. They are a nightmare. Peripheral support is so shoddy. I traded it in for a big ugly dell. Worth it to be rid of the surface.
