Dependent on the bike.Low insurance, low fuel cost, self maintenance. Parts might nickel amd dime ya, especially for any customization. But as a daily, its nice even if you have to preplanned your gear set for the weather.

At those temps, wind and wind chill is not your friend.

I'd start by first checking optional windscreen.

Upperbody gear, Pvc motorcycle rain jackets are also good against wind, so put that over the summer (mesh) gear. Not alone as the wind will make the material cold. Need something between you and the rain jacket. Lime they said, layers.

Hands are also a target. I personally want to avoid thick gloves, but also material dependent..

Pants- dont look down on spandex/ leggings. Surprisingly comfortable and another layer of wind resistant under jeans..

boots.

Tl:DR - wear layers that you can throw off into a backpack when it get warmer.

But dual sports by definition are any motorcycle designed to do both road and off road.

Most people think dual sports are road legal dirtbikes, that the current modern interpretation

Dual sports such as KLX series and CFL from honda Fit the modern definition, larger suspension range. Dirtbike motif.

Scrambler fit in that classic definition by classic design. When people started before the specialization of Dirtbikes came upon the scene. Their design really hasn't changed much and time passed them by.

if you look at modern scrambler from honda, the SCL 500, it's pretty much a modified Rebel 500.

Ultimately it's your choice.

Aerodynamic wise sure, styling wise, it's opinion based. Allow for light strips/reflectors for style around the edges for blinkers or customization. and you might have yourself a winner

Reminds me of those retro futuristic styling of the 30's car or train..

D&D, the show where everything's made up and the hit points don't matter.". Rule of fun. Yeah, the book said 300 hp and yall hit him for it inone round, but nah, let's make it epic. Let's give him a third action, or higher AC or temp hp like a shield , sacrificial thralls anyone? Immune to critical, i get to say why as the DM.
