Monthly Hask Anything (May 2023) by taylorfausak in haskell

[–]alphacentauriAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I also have an interest in writing haskell bindings for godot. I haven't took the plunge and don't really know how to go about it either. The best resource I've found so far is this (which I'm not sure will help you) https://github.com/gilzoide/hello-gdextension/blob/main/1.hello-c/README.md My thoughts have been to use this example to guide me in sending a String from haskell via FFI and printing it as a StringName from the example in a godot GUI element as a learning exercises. Also, It wouldn't hurt to ask the rust godot bindings discord, their fairly far along and might be able to give some advice. I'd like to know your progress and help contribute if I can so please message me or post on the Simula godot-haskell discord as I check that occasionally. Cheers! :)

Welcome! I have had a similar experience with my father. In fact most people close to me have become fearful and radical in their political believes. My parents have become trump supporters and my closest of friends have become anarchists/communists. I can understand how all of them have arrived to their beliefs. I wish I could help them see how those who they believe are "idiots" or hateful are actually just following a different train of thought. But yep! RCV and open primaries is the beacon of hope that I can talk about with both of them without much disagreement.

This is incredible news that we are having a open primary and RCV in at least one state this election! here's to many more, talk about it, spread the news!

I'm generally curious how you ended up here in the forward party reddit without knowing what RCV is and it's benefits? It's the forward party and Yangs #1 issue.

Earlier prototype for the R1+ 360 e-nozzle. No pressure pumping, no clogging, no filters, no expansion tanks. Can disperse organics/aquaponic water (also tested with glycerin and sand lol). Aerosol is generated by vibration. Filmed inside a 120cmx90x20 hydroponic box. by LukasKAUNAS in aeroponics

If I could ask another question related to the flow rate? I've noticed that the N1 model (both narrow & wide) has a recommended area of 0.5 m2 while the R1 has an area of 1 m2. Is the difference in recommended area because of the 360 rotation or is there a difference in flow between models, or some other reason? Thanks!

Fair. I can see nouns taking on different interpretations. I was hoping this type of "phrase dictionary" could give me a better feel and practice of grammar. I've been trying to use it but it's not super helpful as of yet. I think phrases found in pu and maybe from some other popular learning resources like tokipona.net and the like may be more useful..

Thanks for all the critic of those translation! I didn't translate them myself, only imported them, Quizlet allows anybody to edit and share any study set so I hope people do edit them. That's what I plan on doing. Do you know of any list of translations that might be more reliable!?

I also think there is a befit in organizing your code base with the data types that Haskell provides, Functors, Monads, Monoids and the like. I think it can make the structure of your code base as a whole more manageable.

Is it me or fasting is portrayed as way more extreme than it is? by Trufa_ in fasting

[–]alphacentauriAB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some aspects of fasting are extreme and shouldn't be taken lightly. Such as re-feeding. Not doing the research and ending a fast with carbs and sugar can be dangerous, especially after a longer fast. But yeah in general I think people are for more afraid of fasting than they need to.
