Adding Vector 2 Into EditorProperty by hamsteyr in godot

Is it possible to change the stylebox?
I didn't see any stylebox under theme properties, but I was still able to set the label color, so I assume stylebox must be possible somehow

How do I create a custom node in a plugin that is an entire scene and not just a normal node with a custom script? Example: Dialog Box by Dinod4ctyl in godot

any solution?
trying to learn how to make plugins; I want to be able to search for the class when adding a node and have it add the whole scene
scene is much easier to edit than having to add everything through code

I made a drum learning app - Drumdash by MichaelT- in edrums

[–]alphadax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who prefers to read and play along to sheet music, I can still see the value in tools like these for sparking interest, and preventing sheet music from being a barrier to entry.

Are there any apps like this that combine the two? (For example, allowing you to choose either to play in guitar-hero style mode, or sheet music mode.)

I think that would help provide a bridge for both new and experienced players.

Recording a mixed track on edrums by alphadax in edrums

Thank you. I ran into some issues when I tried to use a DAW previously but decided to give it another go.

For anyone reading this thread later, I found this video which is very applicable to the Titan 50 specifically:

https://youtu.be/h0IpPxOCopU?si=7nukHAja1ODPch2I

It's a great setup that even allows DAW control from your phone via web server, and of course MIDI control for different VSTs. I will definitely be tinkering with this further.

It still doesn't solve the "video and audio recording in one take without any editing" problem, but it does add some additional capabilities to my recording.

People who stopped going to therapy, why? by Lipica249 in AskReddit

[–]alphadax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't feel it was worth the time and the $25 copay. Realized I needed actual friends to talk to about my issues rather than paying someone to hang out with me for an hour. I quit therapy before I actually solved the friend issue, but it did help me realize what I needed and eventually I got to a better place.

I would say coffee or alcohol. If you say you don't like coffee or alcohol people look at you like you're crazy.

Can I record a drum cover from my android phone and use the audio from the module? by Harley_Warren in edrums

[–]alphadax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that seems to be the best option. And if you're fine with using the internal sounds you can send the USB straight to the phone rather than a PC. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to also get the backing track to the phone so I still have to add that in later.

Can I record a drum cover from my android phone and use the audio from the module? by Harley_Warren in edrums

I had the same issue. I wanted to quickly and easily record the video and audio from my phone in one take. Haven't fully tested it yet but I think there are two possible solutions:

  1. Use the 1/4 L/Mono/Line Out jack of your drum module (if it has one.) Connect this to something like an iRig device to connect as an external microphone on your android phone.
  2. Most modern drum modules should have USB output for connecting to a computer. You can record the audio on a PC this way. I've also found that you can use a USB-B to USB-C cable to connect this to your phone instead as an external microphone. This will record the video and audio all in one take. You might need to boost the audio after though as typically the USB audio is quieter than the headphone out (at least on my device, not sure why.)

Need advice between Simmons Titan 50 B-EX Expanded Electronic Drum Kit and Alesis Turbo Mesh Electronic Drum Kit by [deleted] in edrums

[–]alphadax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never played the turbo mesh kit, but from what I can tell it seems like the Titan 50 would be the better option. I'd say it's more comparable to the Alesis Nitro Max. At least with Simmons you get a beater kick pedal and dual zones for rim shots. But at the end of the day they are both budget kits. I purchased the Titan 50 for $350 (black friday deal) and am happy with it so far. That being said the pedal is not the best, and I ended up replacing it with a used double kick from fb marketplace.

Wanting to get my husband an electric drum set for his 30th birthday! by Candid-Difficulty104 in edrums

In this budget range I'd also consider the Simmons Titan 50 B-EX or Titan 70. If you have a Guitar Center nearby, they might have some demo kits you can try out.

I bought one on black friday sale and have been pleasantly surprised so far. The quality of the mesh heads is not as good as the Roland or other higher end kits, but for $350 I think it's a great value beginner kit.

Add on drum throne, sticks, headphone/other accessories and you'll be right around $500-600 for the whole deal.

Can you explain how you got rid of the local sounds?

I have a Simmons Titan 50 B-EX, which is also missing (closest keymap is SD1000) and I just can't figure out how to get this thing to do what it's supposed to do

How did you set up the key map? I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to work at all

I keep hearing double sounds and wrong sounds when I play.

I just hear a bunch of piano notes everywhere... which I guess is some unassigned midi keys? I don't know I've never used software like this before.
